The Bhojpuri Film Awards are an awards ceremony recognizing the best of Bhojpuri cinema. Bhojpuri Film
Bhojpuri cinema is an Indian film industry of Bhojpuri-language motion pictures. It is based in western Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh with major production centres in Lucknow and Patna. Bhojpuri cinema is a major part of Bihari cinema. The first Bhojpuri talkie film, ''Ganga Maiyya Tohe Piyari Chadhaibo'', was released in 1963 by Vishwanath Shahabadi. The 1980s saw the release of many notable as well as run-of-the-mill Bhojpuri films like ''Bitia Bhail Sayan'', '' Chandwa ke take Chakor'', ''Hamar Bhauji'', ''Ganga Kinare Mora Gaon'' and ''Sampoorna Tirth Yatra''. Bhojpuri cinema has grown in recent years. The Bhojpuri film industry is now a 2000 crore industry. Bhojpuri cinema also caters to second and third generation emigrants who still speak the language, in Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, Fiji, Mauritius, and South Africa. Dinesh Lal Yadav
Dinesh Lal Yadav (born 2 February 1979), popularly known as Nirahua, is an Indian actor, singer, producer and politician associated with Bhojpuri-language films. He is among the most successful Bhojpuri actors, with successive five box office successes released in 2015. He owns the production house Nirahua Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Dinesh Lal Yadav was a contestant on '' Bigg Boss 6'' in 2012. Nirahua, who belongs to a famous Biraha family of Ghazipur, started his career as a Biraha singer. He made his debut as a singer in the music album ''Nirahua Satal rahe'' (2003) which became superhit and gave him early recognition and his screen name "Nirahua". The cinema of Bihar, a state in eastern India, primarily consists of films in the Bhojpuri language. Bihar also has smaller Maithili- and Magahi-language film industries. Cinema in the state began during the early 20th century. History Bihar's film industry began during the early years of the 20th century, when Jamshedji Framji Madan acquired the Elphinstone Theatre Company of Bombay in 1902 and converted it into the Elphinstone Bioscope Company. The Elphinstone Theatre in Patna (Bihar's capital) became the Elphinstone Cinema, screening short silent films until the advent of sound. The cinema exists under different ownership after the Madan family's economic collapse during the 1930s. Another silent-film cinema in Patna closed in 1931, early in the sound era.
