Bhandit Rittakol
Bhandit Rittakol ( th, บัณฑิต ฤทธิ์ถกล, b. 21 March 1951 in Ayutthaya Province, Thailand d. 1 October 2009 in Bangkok) was an award-winning Thai film director, producer and screenwriter. His films include the controversial biographical film of Thai communist revolutionary Seksan Prasertkul, ''The Moonhunter''; the jungle thriller '' Tigress of King River'' and ''The Seed'' (''Duay Klao'' or th, ด้วยเกล้า), a semi-documentary story of Isan farmers hit by drought who are saved by cloud seeding operations sponsored by King Bhumibol Adulyadej, as well as the ''Boonchu'' teen comedy series of the 1980s and 1990s. Sena District
Sena ( th, เสนา, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, central Thailand. Local people typically know the populated centre of Sena as Ban Phaen (). The Suphannahong National Film Awards ( th, รางวัลภาพยนตร์แห่งชาติ สุพรรณหงส์, also known as the Thailand National Film Association Awards) is the primary film award of the Thai film industry. It is given annually by the National Federation of Motion Pictures and Contents Associations (MPC), and is named after the trophy statuette designed in the shape of the figurehead of the Royal Barge ''Suphannahong''. Seksan Prasertkul
Seksan Prasertkul ( th, เสกสรรค์ ประเสริฐกุล, born 1949) is a Thai author who was awarded the title National Artist of Thailand in 2009. Seksan became a student leader at Thammasat University and was active in the October 1973 protests against the military government of Thanom Kittikachorn. Seksan is the author of poetry, stories, and his autobiography, was made into a movie, ''The Moonhunter.'' Early life Seksan is the son of a fishing-boat builder and a market vendor.
