Beyond Justice
''Beyond Justice'', also known as ''Desert Law'', ''Law of the Desert'' and ''Maktub, Law of the Desert'', is a 1991 Italian action-thriller film directed by Duccio Tessari that was shot in Morocco. The film was edited from the three-part, 300-minute 1989 Italian Canale 5 television miniseries '' Il principe del deserto''. Plot When the estranged Moroccan husband (Kabir Bedi) of wealthy corporate head Christine Sanders (Carol Alt) takes their son Robert to Morocco, she hires two operatives (Rutger Hauer and Peter Sands) who specialize in rescuing hostages from terrorists to bring her son back. Robert is brought to his grandfather ( Omar Sharif) who wishes the boy to succeed him as the ruler of his tribe. Duccio Tessari
Duccio Tessari (11 October 1926 – 6 September 1994) was an Italian director, screenwriter and actor, considered one of the fathers of Spaghetti Westerns. Born in Genoa, Tessari started in the fifties as documentarist and as screenwriter of peplum films. In 1964 he co-wrote Sergio Leone's ''A Fistful of Dollars'', one year later he gained an impressive commercial success and launched the Giuliano Gemma's career with '' A Pistol for Ringo'' and its immediate sequel, '' The Return of Ringo''. He later touched different genres and worked in RAI TV RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana (; commercially styled as Rai since 2000; known until 1954 as Radio Audizioni Italiane) is the national public broadcasting company of Italy, owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Titanus Films
Titanus is an Italian film production company, founded in 1904 by Gustavo Lombardo (1885–1951). The company's headquarters are located at 28 Via Sommacampagna, Rome and its studios on the Via Tiburtina, 13 km from the centre of Rome. Lombardo ran the studios until his death in 1951. His son, Goffredo Lombardo (1920–2005) and later his grandson, Guido Lombardo have continued to run the company. The company has been responsible for hundreds of Italian productions. Titanus made many peplum films and comedies featuring Totò and Franco and Ciccio. The film '' The Shortest Day'' was not only a parody of '' The Longest Day'' but featured a galaxy of stars who made the film to help the studio.
