Beyond Any Form
''Beyond Any Form'' ( fa, نه فرشته‌ام نه شیطان; lit. ''I am neither Angel nor Devil'') is a collaborative studio album by Persian traditional musicians Homayoun Shajarian and Tahmoures Pournazeri, as vocalist and composer respectively. The album was unveiled on March 11, 2014, in a ceremony held in Vahdat Hall. ''Beyond Any Form'' includes eight songs in Persian language based on lyrics from renowned Persian classical poet Mowlana Jalaleddin Rumi and contemporary poets Shafiei Kadkani, Simin Behbahani and Hossein Monzavi. Composer Tahmoures Pournazeri describes the album as an " Iranian contemporary music" album, lacking Radif and inspired by classical, Tanbur, Flamenco and Kurdish music. The 5th track, is based on a melody from Paco de Lucía and the 7th track is played improvisationally. The album also features American composer David K. Homayoun Shajarian
Homayoun Shajarian ( fa, همايون شجريان, born May 21, 1975) is an Iranian singer. He is the son of Mohammad-Reza Shajarian. Early life Shajarian was born in Tehran and is the son of Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, a grand master vocalist of Persian traditional music. At a young age, he began studying the tombak, a Persian hand drum, and Persian traditional vocal Avaz. Shajarian attended Tehran Conservatory of Music choosing Kamancheh as his professional instrument and was tutored by Ardeshir Kamkar. In 1991, he accompanied his father in concerts of Ava Music Ensemble in the United States, Europe and Iran, playing Tombak and from 1999 on, he started accompanying his father also on vocals. In 1995 he got married to Guitta Khansari, they have a child called Yasmine Shajarian who is born in 2007 in Tehran, Iran. They got divorced in 2015. James Earl Thompson (November 25, 1928 – January 31, 2022), known professionally as Jimmy Johnson, was an American blues guitarist and singer. Early life Johnson was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi, on November 25, 1928. Pedro Eustache (born August 18, 1959) is a Venezuelan-born flautist, reed player, world woodwind player, composer, and instrument maker. He has more than seven years of symphonic experience and a collection of around 600 instruments from all over the world, many of which having been designed, built and/or modified by himself. Shujaat Khan
Shujaat Husain Khan (born 19 May 1960) is one of the greatest North Indian musicians and '' sitar'' players of his generation. He belongs to the Imdadkhani ''gharana'' school of music. He has recorded over 100 albums and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best World Music Album for his work with the band Ghazal with Iranian musician Kayhan Kalhor. He also sings frequently. Sitar
The sitar ( or ; ) is a plucked stringed instrument, originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music. The instrument was invented in medieval India, flourished in the 18th century, and arrived at its present form in 19th-century India. Kurdish Music
