Beverly Hills Railway Station
Beverly Hills railway station is a heritage-listed former railway bridge and now railway station located on the East Hills line, serving the Sydney suburb of Beverly Hills in the Georges River Council local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The station is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South line services. The station was designed and built by the NSW Government Railways. It is also known as the Beverly Hills Railway Station group and Dumbleton Railway Station. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. Beverly Hills is unique amongst original East Hills Line stations as it is the only station with asymmetrical platforms, that is, Platform 1 is curved but Platform 2 is straight. King Georges Road is a major arterial road in Sydney, Australia, running through the local government areas of the Georges River Council and City of Canterbury-Bankstown. East Hills, a suburb of local government area City of Canterbury-Bankstown, is located 26 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, and is a part of the South-western Sydney region, near larger areas like Liverpool, Revesby, and Bankstown. Revesby Railway Station
Revesby railway station is located on the East Hills line, serving the Sydney suburb of Revesby. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South line services. History Revesby station opened on 21 December 1931 when the line was extended from Kingsgrove to East Hills. In 1956 a crossing loop was opened. On 9 December 1985, the line from Revesby to East Hills was duplicated with a new track laid to the north of the existing one. The line from Kingsgrove to Revesby was duplicated around the same time. The Rail Clearways Program saw the station's role change significantly, with plans to considerably boost capacity of the East Hills line by creating two centre turnbacks at the station to replace a side turnback at East Hills, and quadruplicating the line from Kingsgrove to Revesby. East Hills Railway Station
East Hills railway station is located on the East Hills line, serving the Sydney suburb of East Hills. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South line services. History East Hills station opened on 21 December 1931 when the line was extended from Kingsgrove. It served as the terminus of the line until it was extended to Glenfield on 21 December 1987. A new station was built south-east of the original station as part of the extension opening in August 1987 with the original station closed and demolished. Following the extension, East Hills became the main intermediate terminus and an interchange point between all stops and limited stops trains. Kingsgrove Railway Station
Kingsgrove railway station is located on the East Hills line, serving the Sydney suburb of Kingsgrove. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South line services. History Kingsgrove station opened on 21 September 1931 when the East Hills line opened from Tempe to East Hills. It was the original terminus of the double track electrified section from Tempe. Until 1939, passengers transferred at Kinsgrove to a CPH railmotor or steam service to continue their journey towards East Hills. The line was duplicated and electrified beyond Kingsgrove in 1948. In 2000, as part of the quadruplication of the line from Wolli Creek to just west of Kingsgrove station, through lines were added on either side of the existing pair. Kingsgrove is a suburb in Southern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Kingsgrove is south of the Sydney central business district and lies across the local government areas of the City of Canterbury-Bankstown, Bayside Council and the Georges River Council. History Governor Philip King granted 500 acres (2 km²) in 1804 to Hannah Laycock (1758-1831), the wife of Quartermaster Thomas Laycock (1756-1809). She named the farm King's Grove in Governor King’s honour. This was later simplified to Kingsgrove. The area would be now bounded by Kingsgrove Road, Bexley Road and William Street.
