Beverly Hills Teens
''Beverly Hills Teens'' is an American animated children's television program produced by DIC Animation City. Distributed by Access Syndication and originally airing in first-run syndication in the United States from September 21, 1987 through December 18, 1987 and airing in The Children's Channel in the United Kingdom from March 1, 1994 through February 28, 1998, the series consists of one extended season, comprising a total of 65 episodes, each 30 minutes long. After its original run, the series continued to be broadcast as part of a syndication package featuring rebroadcasts of ''Maxie's World'' and ''It's Punky Brewster'', and has subsequently acquired the retronym ''Beverly Hills Teen Club''. Developed by Jack Olesker, Michael Maliani and Barry O'Brien, and executive produced by Andy Heyward, the series' namesake teenagers reside in the exclusive enclave of Beverly Hills, California and are shown to have exaggerated wealth, exemplified by mansions, yachts, and limousines, ... Barry O'Brien
Barry O'Brien (born 1957) is an American television writer and producer best known as the co-creator of Disney Channel Original Series ''Hannah Montana''. His credits include ''Happy Days'', ''Perfect Strangers (TV series), Perfect Strangers'', ''Hangin' with Mr. Cooper'', ''Judging Amy'', and ''CSI: Miami''. Life Barry O’Brien was born in San Francisco, California, to a large Irish Catholic family. He attended Terra Linda High School, before joining Santa Clara University on a football scholarship, studying business and finance. O’Brien’s biggest hit is Disney’s ''Hannah Montana'', a concept he successfully pitched based on the premise of an incredibly famous teenager-with-a-double-life, an idea conceived during a tenure on Nickelodeon’s television series ''All That'', where the (then) teenage American pop singer Britney Spears featured as a guest. Retronym
A retronym is a newer name for an existing thing that helps differentiate the original form/version from a more recent one. It is thus a word or phrase created to avoid confusion between older and newer types, whereas previously (before there were more than one type) no clarification was required. Advances in technology are often responsible for the coinage of retronyms. For example, the term "acoustic guitar" was coined with the advent of electric guitars; analog watches were renamed to distinguish them from digital watches once the latter were invented; and "push bike" was created to distinguish from motorbikes and motorized bicycles; finally "feature phones" were also coined behind smartphones. The Flintstones
''The Flintstones'' is an American animated sitcom produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.
