Beverley O'Connor
Beverley O'Connor (born 13 November 1960) is an Australian journalist and broadcaster. She currently hosts ''The World'' on ABC News. O'Connor was born in South Africa and studied journalism in Johannesburg. She also studied drama and ballet. She moved to Australia in the 1980s. Career Broadcasting O'Connor has worked for ABC radio and television since 1987. She specialised in economics and politics and was a presenter on ABC Radio Melbourne for five years before moving to the Seven Network in 2004. She was weeknight sports presenter on ''Seven News Melbourne'' until January 2005, when she was replaced by Sandy Roberts. She was the entertainment presenter on the Seven Network's '' Melbourne Weekender'' in 2006 and she previously formed a part of the Vega 91.5 FM radio breakfast crew alongside Dave O'Neil, Shaun Micallef and Denise Scott. ABC News (formerly ABC News 24; also referred to as the ABC News channel) is an Australian 24-hour news channel launched and owned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Jim Wilson (born 29 December 1967 in Southport, Queensland) is an Australian sports journalist, reporter and radio presenter. Wilson has previously had a 28 year career at the Seven Network as a sport presenter, reporter and sports editor for ''Seven News'' initially starting in the Melbourne newsroom before moving to Sydney. Prior to joining the Seven Network he was a sport reporter at the Nine Network in Brisbane. Jim Stynes
James Stynes OAM (23 April 196620 March 2012) was an Irish-born footballer who converted from Gaelic football to Australian rules football. Playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), he went on to become one of the game's most prominent figures, breaking the record for most consecutive games of VFL/AFL football (244) and winning the sport's highest individual honour, the Brownlow Medal, in 1991.
