''Between Night and Day'' (Spanish: ''Entre noche y día'') is a 1932 British mystery film directed by Albert de Courville and Fernando Gomis.Low p. 383 It was made at Walton Studios as the Spanish-language version of the British mystery film ''77 Park Lane'', which was based on the 1928 play by Walter C. Hackett. A separate French-language film ''77 Rue Chalgrin'' was also released. Such multiple-language versions were common during the early years of sound. The only actor appearing in the film with a career in the English-speaking world was Helena D'Algy Helena D'Algy (born Antónia Lozano Guedes Infante; 18 June 1906 – after 1991) was a Portuguese film actress. Albert De Courville
Albert Pierre de Courville (26 March 1887 – 15 March 1960) (born in Croydon, England) was a writer and director of theatrical revues, many of which featured the actress and singer Shirley Kellogg, whom he married in June 1913. Career In about 1907 he began work in London as a journalist with the ''Evening News''. A good reporter, he was soon earning as much as £20 a week, but thought there were more possibilities, and money, in the theatre. He joined forces with London impresario Sir Edward Moss and staged revues at the London Hippodrome. In the 1930s he turned to making films. His two most famous films, both featuring Jessie Matthews were ''There Goes the Bride (1932 film), There Goes the Bride'' (1932) and ''The Midshipmaid'' (1932). Reginald Cheyne Berkeley (18 August 1890 – 30 March 1935) was a Liberal Party politician in the United Kingdom, and later a writer of stage plays, then a screenwriter in Hollywood. He had trained as a lawyer. He died in Los Angeles from pneumonia after an operation. His son Humphry Berkeley was a Conservative MP in the United Kingdom.
