"Better in Boots" is a song recorded by American country music artist Tyler Farr. It was released to radio on August 17, 2015, by Columbia Nashville as the third and final single from his second studio album ''Suffer in Peace''. The album's previous single, " Withdrawals" was pulled from country radio, being replaced by "Better in Boots". The song was written by former Runaway June lead vocalist Naomi Cooke, Justin Wilson and Dave Pittenger. "Better in Boots" garnered better chart success than "Withdrawals", peaking at number 26 on both the ''Billboard'' Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts respectively. It has sold 131,000 units in the United States as of March 2016. It also charted in Canada, reaching number 43 on the Canada Country chart. An accompanying music video for the song, directed by Eric Welch, features Farr performing in a barn with his band, and is intercut with scenes of archery, lassoing and a silo dance party. Tyler Lynn Farr (born February 5, 1984) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Originally signed to BNA Records Farr released two singles for the label before it closed. He transferred to Columbia Records Nashville, releasing two albums: '' Redneck Crazy'' in 2013 and '' Suffer in Peace'' in 2015. Overall he has charted eight singles on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. His highest ranking on the latter chart is " A Guy Walks Into a Bar" which placed at No. 1 in 2015. Biography Tyler Farr grew up in Garden City, Missouri and attended Missouri State University getting a degree in voice. Theresa Marie Vail (born October 1, 1990) is Miss Kansas 2013. She subsequently placed in the top ten of the Miss America 2014 pageant, where she became the first contestant to openly display tattoos (during the swimsuit competition) and won the "America's Choice" award. Vail later hosted programs for the Outdoor Channel. Background Vail graduated in 2009 from Leavenworth High School, Leavenworth, Kansas. She began her education at Kansas State University in 2009, before taking a leave of absence when she became Miss Kansas in 2013. The Miss Kansas competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the US state of Kansas in the Miss America pageant. Kansas has won the Miss America crown on three occasions.
