Bethel University is a private Christian university in Mishawaka, Indiana. It was established in 1947 and is affiliated with the evangelical Christian Missionary Church. Organization and administration Bethel is a part of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and the Council of Independent Colleges. It is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. The institution also has specialized accreditation by The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). Bethel University is a private Christian university and seminary in Arden Hills, Minnesota. It was founded in 1871 as a seminary and is affiliated with Converge. The university enrolls 5,600 students in undergraduate, graduate, and seminary programs. Its main campus is situated on about 290 acres on the east side of Lake Valentine just south of Interstate 694. History Bethel University has its origins in the Baptist Theological Union's Swedish Seminary, which was founded by Swedish Baptist pastor John Alexis Edgren in Chicago, Illinois in 1871. Bethel University (Tennessee)
Bethel University is a private Christian university in McKenzie, Tennessee with satellite campuses in Memphis, Nashville, Jackson, Paris, and Clarksville. It is accredited to award degrees up to the master's level. History Founded in 1842 as Bethel Seminary in McLemoresville, Tennessee, it was renamed to Bethel College in 1847. In 1872, Bethel President W.W. Hendrix led the initiative to move Bethel from McLemoresville to its current location in McKenzie, where the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway intersected the Louisville & Nashville Railway. The school assumed its current name in 2009. Bethel University student enrollment as of Fall 2017 consisted of 4,579 students.
