Chorley
Chorley is a town and the administrative centre of the wider Borough of Chorley in Lancashire, England, north of Wigan, south west of Blackburn, north west of Bolton, south of Preston and north west of Manchester. The Leicester Comedy Festival is an annual comedy festival held in a number of venues across Leicester, England early in the year. History The festival started in 1994 with 40 events in 23 venues over 7 days throughout Leicestershire, attracting 5,000 people. Brendon Burns (comedian)
Brendon Burns (born 19 April 1971) is an Australian stand-up comedian and author who mostly performs in the UK. He is known for his aggressive stage performance and offensive material. Career Burns' television career began as a performer on Channel 4's late-night spontaneous comedy show ''The 11 O'Clock Show''. Mick Miller (comedian)
Mick Miller (born 25 February 1950 in Liverpool, England) is an English stand-up comedian who has had a long career on the live comedy circuit, and has a trademark haircut of a bald head with long hair down the sides. Early days Miller was born as Michael Lawton on 25 February 1950 in Liverpool, England. Miller's first ambition was to be a footballer. He played as a goalkeeper, and as a boy he signed for Port Vale when Sir Stanley Matthews was the club's general manager and had a trial for the England youth team. An innuendo is a hint, insinuation or intimation about a person or thing, especially of a denigrating or derogatory nature. Observational Comedy
Observational comedy is a form of humor based on the commonplace aspects of everyday life. It is one of the main types of humor in stand-up comedy. In an observational comedy act, the comedian makes an observation about something which is common enough to be familiar to their audience, but not commonly discussed. Such observations are typically presented with the phrase "Have you ever noticed...?" or "Did you ever notice...?" which has become a comedy cliché. Analysis British comedians Richard Herring and Jo Caulfield wrote in an article that observational comedy relies upon the fact that the observation is "universally familiar" but that it "won't necessarily have been consciously noted by your audience", arguing that the statements can be neither too obvious nor too obscure.
