Wolf is the writer and director of ''Forever My Girl'' (2018), and was one of the writers of ''Don's Plum'', a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire which has been prevented from being released in the United States due to litigation. Biography Wolf is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Wolf graduated from St. Louis Catholic High School before moving to Los Angeles. Wolf started her career as an actress in Los Angeles, California. In 2006, Little Chenier was Wolf's debut film as director. Wolf has been married to comedian Josh Wolf (comedian), Josh Wolf since 2004, and they have three children together. ''Forever My Girl'' is a 2018 American romantic drama film written and directed by Bethany Ashton Wolf based on the novel by Heidi McLaughlin. It follows a country musician ( Alex Roe) who sets out to win over the girl he left at the altar eight years before (Jessica Rothe). Abby Ryder Fortson, Travis Tritt, and John Benjamin Hickey also star. The film was released in the United States on January 19, 2018. It received negative reviews from critics, who denounced the writing and chemistry between the actors, and compared it negatively to Nicholas Sparks films. However, audience reception was more positive, and the film was a modest box office success grossing $16 million on a $3.5 million budget. ''Don's Plum'' is a 2001 black-and-white independent lengthened short film directed by R. D. Robb, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Kevin Connolly. It was filmed in 1995–1996, and written by Robb with Bethany Ashton, Tawd Beckman, David Stutman and Dale Wheatley. The film takes place over the course of one night in which a group of young adults discuss life while eating at a diner. The film was blocked from release in the U.S. and Canada, as DiCaprio and Maguire claim that they had only agreed to star in a short film but not a feature film. Blake Sennett of Rilo Kiley provided the soundtrack for the film. His bandmate Jenny Lewis has a role as Sara. ''Little Chenier'' is a 2006 American drama film directed by Bethany Ashton Wolf and written by Jace Johnson and Wolf. It is set in the bayous of Louisiana, and stars Johnathon Schaech, Frederick Koehler, Tamara Braun, Jeremy Davidson, Clifton Collins Jr., and Chris Mulkey. The film completed principal photography in Louisiana in August 2005, just days before Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita hit all of the areas they had filmed in.
