Bethan Elfyn
Bethan Elfyn () is a Welsh radio and television presenter. Elfyn was born in Bangor, Gwynedd, was brought up in Newtown, Powys, and now lives in Cardiff with her husband, Clwb Ifor Bach Promoter and Works Manager Richard Hawkins. They had a daughter, Tegan, in February 2012, and a second daughter in December 2016. Elfyn is a fluent Welsh speaker and has appeared as a panellist on Welsh-language channel S4C's music talent show '' Wawffactor''. She co-hosted Radio 1's first Welsh-language programme as part of the oneclick strand in August 2005 with Aled Haydn-Jones from ''The Chris Moyles Show''. Elfyn co-presented the Wales programme on BBC Radio 1 with Huw Stephens as part of the station's regional output every Thursday evening. She joined Radio 1 in 1999 during the Cool Cymru era of music and arts popularity, as part of the aforementioned new regional output, and left in 2010 after 11 years at the station. Amazing Radio
Amazing Radio is an international radio station first broadcast originally on digital radio in the United Kingdom. The station plays new music from a number of music genres including pop, rock, indie, hip hop, electronica and jazz. The station originally broadcast on the Digital One ensemble which replaced the temporary Birdsong test transmission which had been running for a year and a half beforehand. The station discontinued its DAB presence in 2012 to become an Internet-only radio station, but later returned to DAB in London and Dublin. The station subsequently decided it was not worth paying to be on DAB when so much radio listening is now online. The station originally took its music from its sister website amazingtunes.com and encourages its listeners to have their say as to which songs should make the station's playlist. Horizons Gorwelion
Horizons ( cy, Gorwelion) is an arts scheme and music festival launched jointly in 2014 by BBC Cymru Wales and the Arts Council of Wales to develop new independent contemporary music artists. It is curated by BBC presenter Bethan Elfyn. The scheme hosts a yearly showcase, but also displays its artists through slots at major domestic and international festivals, as well as securing studio access at the likes of Rockfield and Maida Vale. Editions 2014 In February 2014, the scheme launched and first took part of the National Eisteddfod in Llanelli, promoting artists including musician Chris Jones on the Llwyfan Perfformio. In May 2014, Horizons was named as 'Horizons 12' and announced the first twelve artists for the inceptive event. Lauren Cecilia Fisher (née Gofton; born 28 April 1978), known professionally as Lauren Laverne, is an English radio DJ, model, television presenter, author and singer. She was the lead singer and additional guitarist in the alternative rock band Kenickie. The group's album '' At The Club'' reached the top 10, although her greatest chart success came when she performed vocals on Mint Royale's single "Don't Falter".
