''Best of Blue'' is the first greatest hits compilation album released by English boy band Blue. The album was released in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2004, by Innocent Records. It was due to be supported by a European tour of the same name, but this was cancelled in February 2005. Singles * "Curtain Falls" — The debut single, released in November 2004. The single peaked at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 3 on the Australian Top 40, at No. 1 in New Zealand and No. 5 in Ireland. The song has received a Silver sales status certification for sales of over 200,000 copies in the UK. * "Get Down on It" — The second single, released in January 2005. Blue are an English boy band consisting of members Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Costa and Lee Ryan. The group formed in 2000 and released three studio albums before announcing a hiatus In late 2004. In January 2011 the group reformed and represented the United Kingdom at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf with the song " I Can", coming in 11th place with 100 points. In 2013 it was confirmed that the group would be joining ''The Big Reunion'', in which six groups from the past (including Liberty X, Atomic Kitten and 5ive) reform for a one-off gig. On 27 March 2013, the group announced they would embark on their first headlining tour later on in the year, their first tour in nearly ten years. ''All Rise'' is the debut studio album by English boy band Blue, released on 26 November 2001 in the United Kingdom and on 27 April 2004 in the United States. It peaked at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was certified 4× Platinum in the UK. The album spent 63 weeks on the UK top 75 Albums chart. Background and release In May 1999, Lee Ryan and Antony Costa met at the ages of 15 and 17, respectively, when auditioning for a boy band on ITV's '' This Morning'', with Simon Cowell putting the group together. Ryan made it into the band, as did 21-year-old Will Young (who would go on to win the first series of ''Pop Idol'' in 2002), although Costa was not chosen. Antony Costa
Antony Daniel Costa (born 23 June 1981) is an English singer and songwriter. He is best known as a member of the boy band Blue. Early life Costa was born in Edgware, North London, Costa attended Hendon School in nearby Barnet. He is half-Greek, half-Jewish. He attended the American Academy school in Larnaca before moving back to England. He has a sister Natalie and a brother Louis who appeared on The X Factor on 3 September 2011 and who was also in a group called The Chase with former S Club 8 member Jay Asforis. Lee Ryan (born 17 June 1983) is an English singer, songwriter and actor, best known as a member of the boy band Blue. Ryan took part in the BBC series '' Strictly Come Dancing''. He was partnered with professional dancer Nadiya Bychkova and was the second contestant to be eliminated on 7 October 2018. In 2019, Ryan starred in ''Celebs Go Dating'' on E4 and released his first single after nine years called "Ghost". Duncan James (born Duncan Inglis, 7 April 1978) is an English singer and actor. He became widely known in 2001 as a member of the boy band Blue (English group), Blue and later for playing Ryan Knight (Hollyoaks), Ryan Knight in the British soap opera ''Hollyoaks''. "Fly By II" is a song by English boy band Blue. It was released on 18 March 2002 as the fourth single from their debut studio album, '' All Rise'' (2001). The release includes the band's first non-album exclusive, "Love R.I.P". "Fly By II" is a remixed version of the ''All Rise'' album track "Fly By", which samples the song "Rise" by Herb Alpert, while the remix samples from the Notorious B.I.G.'s " Hypnotize". The remix reached number six on the UK Singles Chart. Music video The video for "Fly by II" features Blue in a 2001 BMW X5 (E53) 4.4i, driving to an underground hangout, where the patrons partake in breakdancing, dominoes and rap battling. Lee Anthony Brennan (born 27 September 1973) is an English singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. He is the lead vocalist of boy band 911. Biography Lee Brennan was born on 27 September 1973 in Carlisle, Cumberland, to Una and Francis Brennan. Darren Lighty (born April 6, 1969 in Paterson, New Jersey) is an American hip-hop and R&B record producer and songwriter. Lighty got his initial start in the industry as part of the group The Flex, which also included his brother Cliff Lighty and Eric Williams.
