''Best Akina Memoires'' is the first greatest hits album by Japanese singer Akina Nakamori. It was released on 21 December 1983 through Warner Pioneer. It was released on the same day as the first music home video ''New Akina Etranger in Europe''. The album consists of all singles released during years 1982-1983 and small number of a popular album tracks. Background The album contains all the singles released between 1982 and 1983: from Nakamori's debut "Slow Motion" to her seventh single "Kinku". The singles "½ no Shinwa", "Twilight (Yūgure Dayori)" and " Kinku" were recorded in the album for first time. Promotion Singles "'½ no Shinwa" is the fourth single released on 23 February 1983. The single debuted at number 1 on Oricon Single Weekly Chart and became the 13th best sold single in 1983. In the Best Ten ranking, it debuted on number 1 and stayed at number 13 in the yearly chart. is a Japanese singer and actress. She is one of the most popular and best-selling artists in Japan. Akina achieved national recognition after winning the 1981 season of the talent show '' Star Tanjō!''. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. is the second single by Japanese entertainer Akina Nakamori. Written by Masao Urino and Hiroaki Serizawa, the single was released on July 28, 1982 by Warner Pioneer through the Reprise label. It was also the first single from her second studio album '' Variation (Hensoukyoku)''. Background "Shōjo A" was the first hit single penned by Urino, who made his debut in 1981 with Chanels' . The idea of the song came from producer Yūzō Shimada, who read Tōkō Kon's book and wanted Nakamori to record a song with the concept of "anti-society". The title refers to an anonymous girl and has nothing to do with "A" being Akina. The lyrics were based on those from an abandoned song titled , which was to have been recorded by Kenji Sawada.
