Besisahar
Besishahar ( ne, बेसीशहर नगरपालिका) is a municipality and the district headquarters of Lamjung District in Gandaki Province, Nepal. The Besishahar Municipality was formed by merging the existing Village Development Committees i.e. Besishahar, Gaunshahar, Udipur, Chandisthan, Baglungpani (wards no. 3,4,7,8 & 9), Bajhakhet, Hiletaksar (wards no. 9) and Chiti and have 11 wards. This municipality has a sub-tropical climate with deciduous forests. Annapurna II, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal can be viewed from north of Besishahar Municipality. Population At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 39,356 including Besishahar, Gaunshahar, Udipur, Chiti, Baglungpani, Bajhakhet and Chandisthan. Transportation and communications Dumre–Besishahar–Chame Highway connects the city to various parts of Nepal. Udipur
Udipur ( ne, :ne:उदीपुर, उदीपुर) is a town and market place at Besisahar, Besishahar Municipality in Lamjung District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. The Besisahar, Besishahar Municipality was formed by merging the existing Village development committee (Nepal), Village Development Committees i.e. Besisahar, Besishahar, Gaunsahar, Gaunshahar, Udipur & Chandisthan on May 15, 2014. Middle Marshyandi Hydro Electricity is located in this place. The famous temple of Udipur Kalika is located here. This place is in the way of Annapurna Conservation Area. The Dumre-Besishahar-Chame highway also goes from this place. Here are different casts and religions. Chandisthan ( ne, चण्डीस्थान) is a town and market place at Besishahar Municipality in Lamjung District in Gandaki Province of northern-central Nepal. The Besishahar Municipality was formed by merging the existing Village Development Committees i.e. Besishahar, Gaunshahar, Udipur & Chandisthan on 15 May 2014. Gaunshahar ( ne, गाउँशहर) is a town and market place at Besishahar Municipality in Lamjung District in Gandaki Province of northern-central Nepal. The Besishahar Municipality was formed by merging the existing Village Development Committees i.e. Besishahar, Gaunshahar, Udipur & Chandisthan on May 15, 2014. Lamjung District
Lamjung District ( ne, लमजुङ जिल्ला ), a part of Gandaki Province, is one of the 77 districts of Nepal. The district, with Besisahar as its district headquarters, covers an area of and had a population of 167,724. Lamjung lies in the mid-hills of Nepal spanning tropical to trans-Himalayan geo-ecological belts, including the geographical midpoint of the country (i.e., Duipipal). It has mixed habitation of casts and ethnicities. It is host to probably the highest density of the Gurung ethnic population in the country. Gandaki Province ( ne, गण्डकी प्रदेश ) ), is one of the seven federal provinces established by the current constitution of Nepal which was promulgated on 20 September 2015. Pokhara is the province's capital city. Nepal conducted a widespread national census in 2011 by the Nepal Central Bureau of Statistics. Working with the 58 municipalities and the 3915 Village Development Committees at a district level, they recorded data from all the municipalities and villages of each district. Pokhara ( ne, पोखरा, ) is a metropolis, metropolitan city in Nepal, which serves as the capital of Gandaki Province. Machhapuchhre
Machapuchare, Machhapuchchhre or Machhapuchhre (, Tamu: कतासुँ क्लिको), is a mountain situated in the Annapurna massif of Gandaki Province, north-central Nepal. Its highest peak has never been officially climbed due to the impossibility of gaining a permit from the government of Nepal. Location Machapuchare is at the end of a long spur ridge, coming south out of the main backbone of the Annapurna massif, which forms the eastern boundary of the Annapurna Sanctuary. The peak is about north of the provincial headquarter of Pokhara. The sanctuary is a favorite trekking destination, and the site of the base camps for the South Face of Annapurna and for numerous smaller objectives.
