Bertram Schäfer
Bertram Schäfer (born 18 March 1946, in Bitburg) is a German racing driver. He won the German Formula Three Championship in 1976 and 1978. The German Formula Three Championship was the national Formula Three championship of Germany, and the former West Germany, from 1950 to 2002, then as Formel 3 until 2014. Norisring
The Norisring is a street circuit in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. Originally established as a motorcycle racing venue in 1947 and named in a 1950 competition to win a light motorcycle, the track became known as a sports car racing venue in the 1970s. Since 2000, it has been annually used by the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, the premier Germany-based touring car racing series. The length of the simple track with two hairpin turns and a chicane has been set to since 1972, after various lengths were used in its early years. European F3 Championship
The FIA Formula 3 European Championship was a European Formula Three(F3) auto racing competition, organised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). After one season of the FIA Formula 3 International Trophy, the FIA revived the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The ten-event season included seven Formula 3 Euro Series rounds, two British Formula Three rounds and DTM-supporting round at Brands Hatch. From 2013, the series started running its own rounds, based upon the defunct Formula 3 Euro Series. In 2019, the series merged with the GP3 Series to form the FIA Formula 3 Championship, and was due to relaunch as the Formula European Masters and run in support of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Peter Scharmann
Peter Scharmann (born 26 February 1950, in Klagenfurt) is an Austrian racecar driver who competed in German and European motor sports in the 1970s in Formula Vee and Formula Super Vee classes, and later in the Formula 3 and Formula 2, with numerous successes. Motorsport biography and career Scharmann graduated at the HTL in Klagenfurt, where he was trained as a mechanical engineer. He utilized his training in the years 1970 to 1973, first as a design engineer and later as a chassis engineer at Porsche in Stuttgart, among others, under Ferdinand Piech, who later became chairman of Volkswagen AG. Just one year after his entry into motorsports in 1972, Scharmann won the 1973 Central European Formula V title in his first self-built cockpit.
