Bertila Damas
Bertila Damas is a Cuban-born American actress. Career Damas began her career in Miami, where she worked in Spanish-language theater while in college. She was later accepted at the Circle in the Square Theater School in New York City. There, she met Terry Hayden, who got her interested in The Actors Studio, where she resided until Lee Strasberg's death. Afterward, she studied with Stella Adler. Damas has worked on Broadway, off-Broadway, and the regional theater scene, including her Broadway debut playing Juliet in '' Romeo and Juliet'' for Joseph Papp on Broadway, directed by Estelle Parsons; Yerma in ''Yerma'' at the Arena Stage; Clemencia in ''Electricidad'' at the Mark Taper Forum; and Marta in Eduardo Machado's ''Fabiola'' at Theatre for the New City in NYC. Circle In The Square Theater School
Circle in the Square Theatre School is a non-profit, tax exempt drama school associated with Circle in the Square Theatre; it is the only accredited conservatory attached to a Broadway theatre. It offers two 2-year full-time programs: a Professional Theatre Workshop, and a Professional Musical Theatre Workshop. The musical theatre program is unique in that it's identical to the acting program, except for additional musical classes. This gives the musical theatre students important, deep acting training so they can graduate as true, professional triple threats. There is also an option to earn a joint BFA in Theatre or Musical Theatre with Eckerd College in Florida. Additionally, Circle offers seven-week summer intensives for acting and musical theatre students. ''Thunder Alley'' is an American sitcom that aired from March 9, 1994 to July 4, 1995, on ABC. Premise The show stars Edward Asner as retired race-car driver Gil Jones. The unaired original pilot episode featured Felicity Huffman in the role of Bobbi Turner, Gil's daughter. When ABC picked up the series, Huffman was replaced with Diane Venora.
