Bert Tulloch
Albert Tulloch (23 February 1889 – 15 February 1953) was an English professional Association football, footballer. He played as a defender (association football), full-back, and spent his entire ten-year professional career at Blackpool F.C., Blackpool. Tulloch made his debut for Blackpool on 24 October 1914, in a 2–1 defeat by Leicester City F.C., Leicester Fosse at Bloomfield Road. He went on to make a further 24 appearances in the 1914–15 Blackpool F.C. season, 1914–15 season, displacing Jimmy Jones (English footballer), Jimmy Jones. After four seasons of wartime football, during World War I, Tulloch, under the guidance of new manager Bill Norman (football manager), Bill Norman, became a regular fixture in the defence in the number-2 shirt. Blaydon
Blaydon is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England, and historically in County Durham. Blaydon, and neighbouring Winlaton, which Blaydon is now contiguous with, form the postal town of Blaydon-on-Tyne. The Blaydon/Winlaton resident population in 2011 was 13,896. Herbert Baverstock (January 1883 – 15 December 1951) was an English professional footballer who made over 360 appearances in the Football League for Bolton Wanderers. Herbert Jones (footballer, Born 1896)
Herbert Jones (3 September 1896 – 11 September 1973) was an English professional footballer who played as a defender. He played for various clubs in England, including Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers, where he won the FA Cup in 1928, and Brighton. He also played six times for the England national team. Early life Jones trained as a plumber before World War I. During the war, he was stationed in France. He took part in the truce of Christmas 1915. He became a pacifist and remained so for the rest of his life. In the summer of 1915 or 1916 he was hit by shrapnel when a shell exploded nearby. As a result of this injury he was honourably discharged. Football career Jones began his football career, whilst still a part-time plumber, with his hometown club, Blackpool, making his debut on 16 December 1922, in a goalless draw against Hull City at Bloomfield Road. Franklin Charles Buckley (more commonly known as Major Frank Buckley) (3 October 1882 – 21 December 1964) was an English football player and, later, manager. He was the brother of Chris Buckley, who played for Aston Villa. Early life Buckley was born in Urmston, Lancashire. He attended St Francis Xavier's College, Liverpool, and became an office clerk. Already part of the Manchester Regiment, Buckley signed up for a 12-year enlistment in King's Regiment (Liverpool) and expected to serve in the Boer War, but was instead sent to Ireland. He bought himself out of the army in 1902 to become a professional footballer.
