Berry Cemetery
Berry Cemetery, also known as Holy Resurrection Cemetery, is a historic cemetery located near Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. It was established about 1875, and is a small, rural African-American cemetery. It contains 48 marked graves dating from 1875 to 1948. It may also contain Native American burials in three burial mounds. (includes 10 photographs from 2002) It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Ash Grove is a city in Greene County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,512 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Ash Grove was laid out in 1853. The city was named from a grove of ash trees near the original town site. A post office called Ash Grove has been in operation since 1849.
