Bernard Farcy
Bernard Farcy (born 17 March 1949) is a French actor who has starred in over 70 plays, television series and films. He is best known for his role as Gérard Gibert in Luc Besson's action-comedy franchise ''Taxi'', as well as his appearances in national box-office successes such as '' Marche à l'ombre'' (1984), '' The Three Brothers'' (1995), ''Brotherhood of the Wolf'' (2001) and '' Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra'' (2002), the latter of which has attained cult status in France. 35th César Awards
The 35th César Awards ceremony was presented by the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma in Paris to honour its selection of the best films of 2009 on 27 February 2010. ''The Moon in the Gutter'' (french: La Lune dans le caniveau) is a 1983 French drama film directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix. It was entered into the 1983 Cannes Film Festival. Although it immediately followed Beineix's big, commercial success ''Diva'' and featured two very big stars, Gérard Depardieu and Nastassja Kinski, ''The Moon in the Gutter'' was not well received by critics or audiences and failed at the box office with only 625,000 admissions in France. Its vivid visual style was noted by critics. It preceded a much better-appreciated cult success from the same director, known in the U.S. and UK as '' Betty Blue''. The film was based on a 1953 pulp-noir novel of the same name, written by David Goodis, but it was transferred in the film script from the docksides of Philadelphia to Marseille. Marvin Neil Simon (July 4, 1927 – August 26, 2018) was an American playwright, screenwriter and author. He wrote more than 30 plays and nearly the same number of movie screenplays, mostly film adaptations of his plays. He has received more combined Academy Award, Oscar and Tony Award nominations than any other writer. Simon grew up in New York City during the Great Depression. His parents' financial difficulties affected their marriage, giving him a mostly unhappy and unstable childhood. Raymond George Alfred Cooney, OBE (born 30 May 1932) is an English playwright, actor, and director. His biggest success, '' Run for Your Wife'' (1983), ran for nine years in London's West End and is its longest-running comedy. He has had 17 of his plays performed there. Career Cooney began to act in 1946, appearing in many of the Whitehall farces of Brian Rix throughout the 1950s and 1960s. René de Obaldia (22 October 1918 – 27 January 2022) was a French playwright and poet. He was elected to the Académie française on 24 June 1999.
