Bernadette Ní Ghallchóir
Bernadette Ní Ghallchóir (; born 1947 or 1948) is an Irish television presenter and continuity announcer. She was a familiar face of RTÉ between the late sixties and early eighties. Career In the late 1960’s, Ní Ghallchóir (using the name Bernadette Gallagher) worked briefly as a primary school teacher in London, teaching at the George Tomlinson School in Leytonstone. Ní Ghallchóir hosted the Irish language show Buntús Cainte in the 1960s. She is probably best remembered for hosting the 1971 Eurovision Song Contest from the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, she continued to be involved with Eurovision when in 1973 she hosted National Song Contest. When RTÉ Two was launched in 1978, Ní Ghallchóir was one of the first presenters who officially opened the channel with Raymond Maxwell and Roisin Harkin. Moira Shearer King, Lady Kennedy (17 January 1926 – 31 January 2006), was an internationally renowned Scottish ballet, ballet dancer and actress. She was famous for her performances in Powell and Pressburger's ''The Red Shoes (1948 film), The Red Shoes'' (1948) and ''The Tales of Hoffmann (1951 film), The Tales of Hoffman'' (1951) and Michael Powell's ''Peeping Tom (1960 film), Peeping Tom'' (1960). The Eurovision Song Contest 1971 was the 16th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Dublin, Ireland, following the country's victory at the with the song "All Kinds of Everything" by Dana. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster (RTÉ), the contest was held at the Gaiety Theatre on 3 April 1971, and was hosted by Irish television presenter Bernadette Ní Ghallchóir. Eighteen countries participated in the contest, equalling the record of the 1965 and 1966 editions. Austria returned after their two-year absence, while Finland, Norway, Portugal and Sweden all returned after having boycotted the competition the previous year. On the other hand, Malta competed for the first time. Willy Dobbe
Willy Dobbe (born 2 January 1944 in The Hague) is a Dutch television announcer and former television presenter. She was the host of the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest and also presented the Dutch national finals for the Eurovision Song Contest 1971, 1971 and 1972 Eurovision Song Contest, 1972 contests. Career Dobbe was born in The Hague and obtained a degree as beautician. In 1967 she joined the broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting and became a television announcer, which she remained for 5 years before moving to the TROS in 1972. In 1970, Dobbe was asked to host the Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam. She maintained her Eurovision connection for two more years, when she hosted the Nationaal Songfestival consecutively in 1971 and 1972.
