Berlin High School is a public high school located in Berlin, Connecticut, United States. Overview The current high school building on Patterson Way was opened in 1953. An addition was added to the high school in 1959, which included science labs and other rooms. An addition was constructed in 1975 housing the Media Center, the main gym and locker rooms, industrial arts rooms, cafeteria, and several science rooms. It also underwent technology and handicap code upgrades that were completed in 2000. An additional round of code renovations is forthcoming, in response to areas of concern identified by a recent visit by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Berlin, Connecticut
Berlin ( ) is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 20,175 at the 2020 census. It was incorporated in 1785. The geographic center of Connecticut is located in the town. Berlin is residential and industrial, and is served by the Amtrak station of the same name. Berlin also has two hamlets: Kensington and East Berlin. Town seal The greatest boom to Berlin industry resulted from the decision of the Patterson brothers to start their business on West Street (now called Lower Lane). Gary Lee Waslewski (born July 21, 1941) is a former American professional baseball player who played as a pitcher from 1967 to 1972. He accrued an 11–26 win–loss record, plus 5 saves in his career, with an ERA of 3.44. Career Waslewski made his major league debut in 1967 with the Boston Red Sox. In 1968, he was one of 10 pitchers who led the American League (AL) with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. He started Game 6 of the 1967 World Series for the Red Sox. On December 3, 1968, he was traded by the Red Sox to the St. Louis Cardinals for Ducky Schofield. On June 3 the following season, he was traded by the Cardinals to the Montreal Expos for Mudcat Grant. Southington is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, it had a population of 43,501. Southington contains the villages of Marion, Milldale, and Plantsville. Geography Southington is situated about southwest of Hartford, about northeast of New York City, southwest of Boston and west of Providence.
