Berit Andnor
Berit Andnor (born 20 November 1954) is a Sweden, Swedish Swedish Social Democratic Party, Social Democratic politician. She was Minister for Social Affairs of Sweden 2004–2006. Biography Berit Andnor grew up in a working-class family in Gothenburg, and she and her sister was the first her family to be given the opportunity to obtain a higher education. She has a University Diploma in Social Work from the University College of Östersund (now Mid Sweden University) in Jämtland County, Jämtland, and since then, she has been living in the region. In the 1980s, she worked as director of social welfare services in Berg Municipality. In 1982, she was elected to the county council, and from 1986 to 1991, she sat on its executive board, the beginning of her career as a full-time politician. General elections were held in Sweden on 19 September 2010 to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag. The main contenders of the election were the governing centre-right coalition the Alliance, consisting of the Moderate Party, the Centre Party, the Liberal People's Party and the Christian Democrats; and the opposition centre-left coalition the Red-Greens, consisting of the Social Democrats, the Left Party and the Green Party. The Social Democratic Women in Sweden ( sv, Sveriges socialdemokratiska kvinnoförbund ), or "S-women" ( ), is the women's wing of the Swedish Social Democratic Party. It was established in 1920 by representatives from 120 local Social Democratic women’s clubs from all over Sweden. At the time of its foundation, there had been local women's clubs of the Party since the foundation of the '' Stockholms allmänna kvinnoklubb'' in 1892, but there was no national women's club.
