Berghülen () is a municipality in the district of Alb-Donau in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. Geography Berghülen is located above sea level on the Swabian Jura about west of Ulm. The municipality borders to the west and north to the town of Laichingen and to their districts Machtolsheim and Suppingen, on the east to Blaustein and on the south to the town of Blaubeuren. Municipality arrangement Besides the eponymous Berghülen, the municipality includes the two districts: *Bühlenhausen with 437 inhabitants. Incorporation on 1 January 1972. *Treffensbuch with 83 residents. Incorporation is not ascertainable. History The written history of the municipality Berghülen began with the first written mention of the district Bühlenhausen in a deed of the monastery Ochsenhausen, which was given to St. Blaise Abbey, Black Forest in 1100. Laichingen
Laichingen is a town in the district of Alb-Donau near Ulm in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It has 10,964 inhabitants (2005). Geography Geographical location Laichingen is located on the Laichingen Alb, a branch of the Swabian Jura. It is located on a former volcanic vent on the Alb plateau, about 25 kilometers west of Ulm. Neighboring communities The municipality borders to Hohenstadt in Göppingen district, in the east to Merklingen and Dornstadt, on the south to Berghülen, to the town Blaubeuren and Heroldstatt and on the west to Gutsbezirk Münsingen and to Römerstein, both in the district of Reutlingen and to Westerheim. Blaustein
Blaustein () is a town in the district of Alb-Donau Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is situated on the Blau River, 6 km west of Ulm and has about 15,000 inhabitants. Before 1968, Blaustein was known as Herrlingen. It was created in 1968 after the union of Ehrenstein and Klingenstein. During the 1970s, the municipalities of Arnegg, Bermaringen, Dietingen, Herrlingen, Lautern, Markbronn, Weidach and Wippingen became part of the new municipality of Blaustein. Herrlingen was the home of Anna Essinger's boarding school, Landschulheim Herrlingen, founded in 1926. In 1933, with the rise of Nazism, Essinger moved the school and, with their parents' permission, the school's 66 Jewish pupils to safety in England. Wilhelm Murr
Wilhelm Murr (16 December 1888 – 14 May 1945) was a Nazi German politician. From 1928 until his death he was ''Gauleiter'' of Gau Württemberg-Hohenzollern, and from early 1933 held the offices of State President and '' Reichsstatthalter'' (Reich Governor) of Württemberg. During World War II he also rose to the rank of '' SS-Obergruppenführer'' in addition to his Party posts. At war's end he committed suicide with poison while in French custody. Early life Murr was born in Esslingen am Neckar. He grew up in Esslingen in poverty and lost both parents at the age of 14. He attended the ''Volksschule'' up to the 7th class. After commercial training, he completed military service from 1908 to 1910 and then worked as a salesman at the ''Maschinenfabrik Esslingen''. During the First World War he served on all fronts, advanced to the rank of ''Vize-Feldwebel'' ( Sergeant 1st Class), was wounded in action and received the Iron Cross, 2nd class. Molotov (band)
Molotov is a Mexican rock band formed in Mexico City in 1995. Their lyrics, which are rapped and sung by all members of the group, feature a mixture of Spanish and English. The band members also switch instruments and roles depending on what song they are performing. Biography The band began in 1995 when two friends, Tito Fuentes (guitar) and Micky "Chicho" Huidobro (bass), started playing together. Javier de la "J" Cueva and Iván Jared "La Quesadillera" Moreno joined them in September of that year, becoming the first line up for the band. Moreno would eventually leave and be replaced by Randy Ebright, the only American member of the band, in October 1995. In February 1996, de la Cueva would also leave. He was replaced by Paco Ayala, establishing the four-member lineup that has remained consistent over the years. Subway To Sally
Subway to Sally is a German folk metal band founded in Potsdam in the early 1990s. Their music has clear folk and medieval influences, later also adding gothic and metal elements. With their continuous inclusion of oriental sounds and elements of classical music and the use of instruments seldom seen in metal bands such as bagpipes, shawm, violin, hurdy-gurdy and lute, Subway to Sally has acquired the label of medieval metal. The band has released 12 studio albums, two live albums, and two live DVDs. Their fame is centered mainly in the German-speaking countries, having played only a handful of concerts outside of that area. History The very first concert given by Subway to Sally was held in September 1990. The band then consisted of Ingo Hampf, Bodenski, Simon, Coni (trumpet) and Guido (drums).
