Bill Bergey
William Earl Bergey (born February 9, 1945) is a former American football linebacker who played professionally for 12 seasons, most notably with the Philadelphia Eagles of National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals of the American Football League (AFL) in 1969, the year before the AFL–NFL merger was completed, and continued to play with the Bengals in the NFL until 1973. Bergey subsequently signed with the Eagles the following year, where he played seven seasons until retiring in 1981. During his career, Bergey was named to five Pro Bowls, was a two-time first-team All-Pro, and made one Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl XV, his final professional game. He is an inductee of the Eagles Hall of Fame and the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame. David Hendricks Bergey
David Hendricks Bergey was an American bacteriologist, born December 27, 1860, in Skippack, Pennsylvania, Skippack, Pennsylvania, died September 5, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He studied at University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees in 1884. He practiced medicine in North Wales, Pennsylvania until 1893. He then joined the university's hygiene laboratory, where he taught hygiene and bacteriology. He led the laboratory from 1929 until his retirement in 1932. During WW I he was on academic leave of absence from 1917 to 1919, when he served in the United States Army Medical Reserve Corps as chief of the laboratory staff at Fort Oglethorpe (Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia), Fort Oglethorpe. His ''Principles of Hygiene'' was first published in 1901 and went through seven editions. Jake Bergey
Jake Bergey (born May 4, 1974 in Covington, Kentucky) is a retired lacrosse player. Bergey played ten seasons for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League. Bergey is the son of former NFL star Bill Bergey, and brother of fellow lacrosse player Josh Bergey. NLL Bergey joined the Philadelphia Wings in 1998. Bergey quickly became a fan favorite, wearing #66, the same number his father wore with the Philadelphia Eagles where he was a star linebacker. He was a member of both the 1998 & 2001 National Lacrosse League Champion's Cup Wings teams. Bergey was an alternate captain for the Wings from 2001 to 2007. and was Captain for the 2004 season. At the end of the 2007 season, Bergey was the second leading scorer in Wings history. After playing 10 years for the Wings, Bergey was chosen by Boston coach and former teammate Tom Ryan in the 2007 National Lacrosse League expansion draft. Josyane de Jesus Bergey (born 1941) is a Franco/Portuguese poet. Biography Josyane de Jesus Bergey was born in La Rochelle, France in 1941. Retired from the civil services, she is the vice president of a French literary association, registered in La Rochelle under the name "Larochellivre". In this role, she organises literary meetings in the Charente Maritime as well as events such as "The Poets' Spring Time" and the "Salon of Poetry Works" in La Rochelle. Josyane de Jesus Bergey is a close friend of Jean Bouhier who founded the poetic movement of the school of Rochefort "l' Ecole de Rochefort” with Pierre Pernon in 1941 and, in 1991, she was the initiator of the foundation at Vesdun (Cher) of the "Forest of one thousand Poets" where the poets of 85 nations are represented by an oak tree.
