Beppe Costa (born Concetto Costa, on , Catania, Italy) is an Italian poet, novelist and publisher. Biography The beginning Born into a poor family grows, however, in an environment rich in books. He published the first volume of poems in 1970 Casa della Poesia: bibliography of Beppe Costa.(''Una poltrona comoda'', Giuseppe Di Maria editore), characterized, like the others that follow, by the theme of love and nonconformity. Beppe Costa Beppe wrote and published two tour guides, first at local level, ''Catania, Guida ai monumenti'', and the second at regional level, ''Sicilia, Guida ai monumenti'', both with Muglia publisher. Arnoldo Foà
Arnoldo Foà (24 January 1916 – 11 January 2014) was an Italian actor, voice actor, theatre director, singer and writer. He appeared in more than 130 films between 1938 and 2014. Biography Foà was born in Ferrara, Italy, to a Jewish family, though Foà was an atheist in his adult life. Foà completed high school in Florence, where he moved with his family, and studied at the acting school of Rasi. He abandoned his studies in economics and at age 20 moved to Rome, where he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. He was initiated to the Italian Scottish Rite Freemasonry in 1947 at the Lodge " Alpi Giulie" n.150 (in Rome), taking later the highest degree. Foà died on 11 January 2014 from respiratory failure, just 13 days short of his 98th birthday. Luigi Capuana
Luigi Capuana (May 28, 1839 – November 29, 1915) was an Italian author and journalist and one of the most important members of the ''verist'' movement (see also ''verismo'' (literature)). He was a contemporary of Giovanni Verga, both having been born in the province of Catania within a year of each other. He was also one of the first Italian authors influenced by the works of Émile Zola, French author and creator of naturalism. Capuana also wrote poetry in Sicilian, of which an example appears below. ''Stefania'' is a genus of frogs in the family Hemiphractidae. They are native to the highlands of the Guiana Shield in southern Venezuela, Guyana, and adjacent far northern Brazil. Most are restricted to the tepui highlands, but '' S. evansi'' also occurs in lowlands. Patrice Leconte
Patrice Leconte (; born 12 November 1947) is a French film director, actor, comic strip writer, and screenwriter. Life and career Leconte grew up in Tours, and began making little amateur films at 15. He went to Paris in 1967 and studied at Institut des hautes études cinématographiques. While attending film school in the late 1960s, Leconte also worked as a cartoonist, in particular for the Franco-Belgian comics magazine ''Pilote''. He directed his first feature film in 1976, and had a number of major successes with comedy films that were barely distributed outside France. Lawrence Monsanto Ferlinghetti (March 24, 1919 – February 22, 2021) was an American poet, painter, social activist, and co-founder of City Lights Booksellers & Publishers. The author of poetry, translations, fiction, theatre, art criticism, and film narration, Ferlinghetti was best known for his second collection of poems, ''A Coney Island of the Mind'' (1958), which has been translated into nine languages and sold over a million copies.
