Beovizija 2009
Serbia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Cipela" written by Aleksandar Kobac, Marko Kon and Milan Nikolić. The song was performed by Marko Kon and Milaan. The Serbian national broadcaster, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) organised the national final ''Beovizija 2009'' in order to select the Serbian entry for the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia. The national final consisted of two shows: a semi-final and a final on 7 and 8 March 2009, respectively. Twenty entries competed in the semi-final where eleven qualified to the final following the combination of votes from a three-member jury panel and a public televote. The eleven qualifiers competed in the final which resulted in "Cipela" performed by Marko Kon and Milaan as the winner following the combination of votes from a three-member jury panel and a public televote. Marko "Mare" Kon ( sr-cyr, Марко Кон; born 20 April 1972) is a Serbian recording artist. He was the Serbian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 alongside Milan Nikolić, where they did not manage to qualify for the finals. Early life Kon was born to a Serbian-Jewish father and Serbian mother. Beauty Queens
Beauty Queens are a Serbian girlband, formed in Helsinki, Finland, in May 2007, after Marija Šerifović's victory in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. Lejla Hot ( sr, Лејла Хот; born 9 April 1986) is a Serbian pop singer, musician, and songwriter. She was born in Belgrade, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia and finished Musical High School "Mokranjac" in Belgrade in section solo singing and piano and then graduated at the Belgrade Music Academy (section piano). Ivana Selakov ( sr-cyr, Ивана Селаков, ; born 8 November 1978) is a Serbian singer. She was a member of the girlband Beauty Queens, which was formed by gathering backing vocalists of Marija Šerifović after victory in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. Marina Tucaković
Marina Tucaković ( sr-Cyrl, Марина Туцаковић; 4 November 1953 – 19 September 2021) was a Serbian lyricist and songwriter. Born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, Tucaković had a degree from the Economic Faculty at the University of Belgrade. She first started writing songs at the age of 19. Nataša Bekvalac ( sr-cyr, Наташа Беквалац, , born 25 September 1980) is a Serbian singer from Novi Sad. She made her recording debut in 2001 and has since collectively released five studio albums. Serbian (, ) is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian language mainly used by Serbs.
