Andrea Benvenuti (born 13 December 1969 in Negrar, Verona) is an Italian former 800 metres runner. Biography He won the gold medal at the 1994 European Championships in Helsinki. Previously, he had come fifth in the 1992 Olympic final and third in the World Cup 1992. He represented his country at the 1993 World Championships in Athletics. He is the Italian record holder of the 1000 metres with the time of 2:15.76. His personal best in 800 metres is 1:43.92. He is a two-time national champion at the Italian Athletics Championships. Augusto Benvenuti (January 8, 1839 – February 7, 1899) was an Italian sculptor, born and active in Venice and the Veneto. Biography Born to a poor family, he was apprenticed first as a wood engraver, where he learned also to sculpt. Among his works are the ''Monument to Giorgione'' (1878) in Castelfranco Veneto, the ''Monument to Vittorio Emanuele'' (1880) in Vicenza, the ''Monument to the Army'' (1885) in the Riva degli Schiavoni of Venice, and also the ''Monument to Garibaldi'' (1887) in Venice, and a statue depicting ''Berta che fila'', exhibited in Vienna in 1888, once belonged to Senator Alessandro Rossi of Schio. Maria Beatrice Benvenuti (born 1993) is an Italian rugby union referee. Benvenuti has refereed at the 2016 Olympic Games, the Women's Rugby World Cup in 2014 and 2017 and the Women's Six Nations Championship in 2018 and 2019. She has also refereed at the 2018 Women's Rugby World Cup Sevens and at the 2018 USA Women's Sevens. In December 2016, she was tackled during an Italian League match by Argentinian player Bruno Doglioli. Giovanni "Nino" Benvenuti (born 26 April 1938) is an Italian former professional boxer and actor. He held world titles in two weight classes, having held the undisputed super-welterweight championship from June 1965 to June 1966 and the undisputed middleweight championship twice, from April to September 1967, and from March 1968 to November 1970. As an amateur welterweight boxer he won the Italian title in 1956–60, the European title in 1957 and 1959, and an Olympic gold medal in 1960, receiving the Val Barker trophy for boxing style. In 1961, having an amateur record of 120-0, he turned professional and won world titles in the light-middleweight division and twice in the middleweight division. Pietro Benvenuti (8 January 1769 – 3 February 1844) was an Italian neoclassical painter. Biography Born in Arezzo in Tuscany, he was influenced by the style of Jacques-Louis David. He was a student of the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, then studied in Rome, 1792–1803, where he formed an informal academy with his friend of long standing, Vincenzo Cammuccini, and Luigi Sabatelli. He returned to practice in Arezzo. With a group of collaborators and students Benvenuti was commissioned in 1811–12 to decorate the new rooms in Palazzo Pitti, where he painted a series of mythologic scenes for the ''Salon of Hercules'' on the Greek demigod.
