Benoît Haller
Benoît Haller is a French conductor and tenor, born in Strasbourg in 1972. Biography Benoît Haller studied choral and orchestral conducting with Hans Michael Beuerle at the Hochschule für Musik in Fribourg-en-Brisgau. He studied singing with Hélène Roth then Beata Heuer-Christen, Gerd Heinz (opera) and Hans Peter Müller (song repertoire) from 1992 to 2002. His repertoire includes baroque opera and classic and romantic oratorio. He is the founder and musical director of the French baroque musical ensemble La Chapelle Rhénane, which he has headed since 2001. His sister, Salomé Haller, is an operatic soprano. A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. Soprano
A soprano () is a type of classical female singing voice and has the highest vocal range of all voice types. Jérôme Correas
Jérôme Correas (born 3 August 1966) is a French conductor, harpsichordist and bass baritone. Life Born in Les Lilas, at the age of five Correas began studying the piano. In 1982, he met the great harpsichordist and musicologist Antoine Geoffroy-Dechaume with whom he began studying harpsichord and baroque style. After studying hypokhâgne and khâgne at the Lycée Malherbe in Caen, he obtained a degree in history and a degree in art history at the Sorbonne in 1986, and began singing in parallel with his studies. His meeting with William Christie in 1987 was decisive: he entered the Conservatoire de Paris in his Baroque music class and obtained the first prize, then continued his studies in Xavier Depraz' opera class. Domenico Mazzocchi
Domenico Mazzocchi (baptised 1592 in Civita Castellana21 January 1665 in Veja) was an Italian Baroque composer of only vocal music, of the generation after Claudio Monteverdi. He was a learned Roman lawyer, studied music with Giovanni Maria Nanino (or Nanini), also in Rome, and entered the service of cardinal Ippolito Aldobrandini in 1621. He is associated with providing music for the popes, particularly Cardinal Maffeo Barberini, later Pope Urban VIII, until Mazzocchi's death in Rome on 21 January 1665. Jean-Claude Malgoire (25 November 1940 – 14 April 2018) was a French oboist and later conductor. Early life Malgoire was born on 25 November 1940 in Avignon, France. His mother was born in Italy. Malgoire graduated from the Paris Conservatory. Career Malgoire began his career as an oboist. He played the cor anglais for the Orchestre de Paris, under the direction of conductor Charles Munch. Over the course of his career, he played for conductors Herbert von Karajan, Georg Solti and Seiji Ozawa.
