Benny Tetamashimba
Benny Tetamashimba was a Zambian Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) politician and had been a Member of Parliament for Solwezi Central from 2001 to 2009 when he died. Tetamashimba was a member of United Party for National Development prior to joining the MMD. Parliamentary participation Benny Tetamashimba has been known to be active member of parliament both as a minister and as an MP. Tetamashimba has given a number of reports to the Zambian parliament. United Party For National Development
The United Party for National Development (UPND) is a social liberal political party in Zambia, led by Hakainde Hichilema, the current president of the country. The party is an observer member of the Africa Liberal Network. History The UPND was established in December 1998 and was initially led by Anderson Mazoka, who had left the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) shortly beforehand. Mazoka was the party's presidential candidate for the 2001 general elections, finishing second with 27% of the vote, less than 2% behind the winner Levy Mwanawasa of the MMD. In the National Assembly elections the UPND won 49 seats, becoming the second largest party after the MMD. The University Teaching Hospital (UTH) formerly Lusaka hospital is the biggest public tertiary hospital in Lusaka, Zambia. It is the largest hospital with 1,655 beds. It is a teaching hospital and, as such, is used to train local medical students, nurses and other health professionals. UTH is the main medical training institution in Zambia for doctors, nurses, clinical officers and other health professionals. It provides primary, secondary and tertiary care. Historical background of The University Teaching Hospital It was built in 1910 with 15 bed capacity and was meant for sick Africans who were only cared for by male orderlies as the hospital had no doctors and nurses.
