Benny Gordon
Benjamin Gordon (born November 29, 1970) is an American professional stock car racing driver. Racing career Early career Prior to moving up to NASCAR's big leagues, Gordon competed in the NASCAR-sanctioned NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southeast Series, Slim Jim All Pro Series in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Good runs in the series allowed him to move up to the CARS Pro Cup Series, USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, where he was Rookie of the Year in 2003. He went on to win the Northern Division in four of the following five seasons, except for 2007 where he finished second. He would add overall series championships in 2005 and 2008. His brother Todd Gordon, Todd would serve as his crew chief, before joining the NASCAR ranks as a crew chief for Team Penske (NASCAR), Team Penske. Bristol Motor Speedway, formerly known as Bristol International Raceway and Bristol Raceway, is a NASCAR short track venue located in Bristol, Tennessee. Vision Racing was an American professional stock car racing team that last competed in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the ARCA Re/Max Series. The team last fielded the No. 17 Toyota Camry for Benny Gordon in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The team previously used Dodge Challenger cars and engines previously run by Team Penske before 2012, as well as Toyotas from Joe Gibbs Racing. Each of NASCAR's national and regional touring series selects a RotY winner each year. Iowa Speedway is a 7/8-mile (1.4 km) paved oval motor racing track in Newton, Iowa, United States, approximately east of Des Moines.
