Mark Benning (born April 19, 1964) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Early life Benning was born in Edmonton as the son of NHL scout Elmer Benning for the Montreal Canadiens, and brother of former NHL players Jim Benning and Brian Benning, and uncle of Brian's current NHL playing sons, Matthew Benning and Mike Benning. Junior and NCAA Benning played for the St. Albert Saints AJHL junior hockey team. He was recruited by the University of Notre Dame, Benning played for two years with the Fighting Irish and then transferred to Harvard University in 1984. Benning graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Economics in 1987, and excelled with the Crimson . Benning Wentworth
Benning Wentworth (July 24, 1696 – October 14, 1770) was an American merchant and colonial administrator who served as the governor of New Hampshire from 1741 to 1766. While serving as governor, Wentworth is best known for issuing several land grants in territory claimed by the Province of New Hampshire west of the Connecticut River, which led to disputes with the neighboring colony of New York and the eventual founding of Vermont. Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire into a prominent colonial family in 1692, Wentworth was groomed by his father John while growing up to assume control over the family business before misbehavior while studying at Harvard College led him to be sent to Boston instead in 1715. There, Wentworth was apprenticed at his uncle's business before becoming a merchant. In 1730, he returned to Portsmouth to assume control over his father's estate. Sybille Benning (8 January 1961 – 29 July 2022) was a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). In the 2013 federal election she was elected to the German Bundestag, representing the city of Münster. Early life and career Benning was born in Münster, where she graduated from the Marienschule episcopal high school. Benning completed an apprenticeship in gardening and landscaping and then studied landscape conservation at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Science.
