Bengisu Erçetin
Bengisu Erçetin (born 1 January 2001) is a Turkish badminton player. Erçetin won the gold medal at the 2018 European Junior Championships, 2022 Mediterranean Games, and the silver medal at the 2018 Mediterranean Games partnered with Nazlıcan İnci. Erçetin's achievements began when she won the girls' doubles title at the 2016 European U15 Championships in Kazan, Russia partnered with Zehra Erdem, and also won the bronze medal in the singles event. Teamed-up with Nazlıcan İnci, they grabbed the silver medal in the U17 Championships in 2016, and made it to the gold medal in 2017 with Erdem. She won her first senior international tournament at the 2017 Turkey International tournament. Nihal Bengisu Karaca (born 1972) is a Turkish journalist and author. She was born in Ankara in 1972. Her father was a surgeon originating from the Turkish minority of Komotini, Greece. She finished her studies at Kayseri İmam Hatip High School and later graduated from Marmara University, School of Law. In 1994, she started her career by working for ''Aksiyon'' magazine. Between 1995 and 1996, she worked for Kanal 7 as a text author and programmer. At the end of 1996, she worked as a culture and art editor at ''Aksiyon'', where she released film criticism and wrote files and interviews about culture, literature and society. Buket Bengisu (born 19 September 1978) is a Turkish singer. She finished her primary studies in Istanbul. She grew up in a family that was closely associated with music, as her father was a bassist and her mother was a pianist. In 1996, she enrolled in the Istanbul University State Conservatory, studying chorus singing. In 2000, she went to the same school again and in 2003 graduated with a degree in musical singing. She also played for five years at the Turkey Children Theater and took part in a number of plays. Lerzan Bengisu (1906–16 March, 1978) was a Turkish sculptor and woodcrafter. Life She was born in Istanbul in 1906. She is the wife of Prof. Dr. Naci Bengisu and the mother of Prof. Dr. Ünal Bengisu. She died in 1978 in Istanbul and was buried in the Zincirlikuyu Cemetery. Work She considered to be among the contemporary Turkish sculptors of the Republican era. In the first phase of her art career she worked with tree branches creating decorative works and also wood figures. She would shine and polish the surfaces of dried tree bodies. Later on she worked on balanced and uniform works preserving the shape integrity. She was a member of the International Association of Soroptimists and of the Woman Artists Union.
