Bengal (comics)
Bengal (Duc No Tranh) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The character first appeared in '' Daredevil'' #258 and was created by Fabian Nicieza and artist Ron Lim. Fictional character biography Duc No Tranh was a boy growing up in a Vietnamese village during the Vietnam War. During the war, American soldiers, including William Talltrees, Willie Lincoln, and the future Reverend Michael Janes, massacre his village and parents. The boy tries to climb aboard the Americans' helicopter, but is kicked off by Private Janes, despite the pleas of the other soldiers on board. Years later, the boy became the costumed Bengal and travels to America for revenge on the soldiers involved in the destruction of his village. Willie Lincoln seeks Daredevil's protection. The costumed hero defeats Bengal. Bengal later attacks Father Michael Janes. He soon clashes with Silhouette and the other New Warriors over the fate of Janes. ... Jim Cheung
Jim Cheung (; born 1972) is a British comic book artist, known for his work on the series such as ''Scion (comics), Scion'', ''New Avengers: Illuminati'', ''Young Avengers'' and ''Avengers: The Children's Crusade''. Career Cheung worked on several Marvel series during the mid- to late 1990s. He also worked on ''Scion (comics), Scion'' for Crossgen Comics in the early 2000s. He later returned to Marvel, where he illustrated the five-issue ''New Avengers: Illuminati'' mini-series for Marvel Comics, and then pencilled two more issues of ''New Avengers''. He was named in August 2005 as one of Marvel's "Young Guns", a group of artists that, according to Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, have the qualities that make "a future superstar penciller". Other "Young Guns" include Olivier Coipel, David Finch (comics), David Finch, Trevor Hairsine, Adi Granov and Steve McNiven. Robert "Robbie" Baldwin is a fictional character, fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by artist Steve Ditko and writer Tom DeFalco, the character first appearance, first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man Annual'' #22 (January 1988) originally known as Speedball, as well as in ''Civil War: Front Line'' #10 (January 2007) as Penance. The character's origin and early exploits as Speedball were depicted soon after in a solo series. Siege (comics)
''Siege'' is an American comic book published by Marvel Comics from January to May 2010. It deals with the climax of the " Dark Reign" storyline, which saw Norman Osborn become the United States primary defense officer, leading H.A.M.M.E.R. as well as employing his own evil Avengers. The story depicts Loki manipulating Osborn into leading an all-out assault on Asgard, at the time located within the United States. Captain America and his own Avengers lead a rebellion against Osborn. The events in ''Siege'' led to Marvel Comics introducing the subsequent storyline " Heroic Age". Publication history "Siege"' consists of an eponymous four-issue mini-series, and a number of related tie-in books, including one-shots, miniseries, and existing ongoing series. Veranke is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She serves as the queen of the Skrull Empire. Introduced as Jessica Drew, Veranke is the main antagonist of ''Secret Invasion'', in which she leads her empire to invade and conquer Earth. Auden and Harriet L. Ophuls portrayed young Veranke in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film '' Captain Marvel'' (2019), depicted as the daughter of Talos and Soren.
