Bence Halász
Bence Halász (born 4 August 1997) is a Hungarian athlete specialising in the hammer throw. He won the bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships. In addition, he won gold medals at the 2017 European U23 Championships and 2016 World U20 Championships. In 2018 he won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Berlin. His personal best in the event is 80.92 m set at the 2022 European Championships. The 2016 European Throwing Cup was held on 12 and 13 March at the Gloria Arad Stadium in Arad, Romania. It was the sixteenth edition of the athletics competition for throwing events and was jointly organised by the European Athletic Association. Eskilstuna () is a city and the seat of Eskilstuna Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden. The city of Eskilstuna had 67,359 inhabitants in 2015, with a total population of 100,092 inhabitants in Eskilstuna municipality (2014). Eskilstuna has a large Sweden Finn population. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) could enter a maximum of 36 athletes, 18 per each gender and 1 per each event. As hosts, China is given 2 quotas, 1 per each gender and 136 places. 68 spots per each gender was decided by the Tripartite Commission.
