Benazir Bhutto
Benazir Bhutto ( ur, بینظیر بُھٹو; sd, بينظير ڀُٽو; Urdu ; 21 June 1953 – 27 December 2007) was a Pakistani politician who served as the 11th and 13th prime minister of Pakistan from 1988 to 1990 and again from 1993 to 1996. She was the first woman elected to head a democratic government in a Muslim-majority country. Ideologically a liberal and a secularist, she chaired or co-chaired the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) from the early 1980s until her assassination in 2007. Of mixed Sindhi and Kurdish parentage, Bhutto was born in Karachi to a politically important, wealthy aristocratic family. She studied at Harvard University and the University of Oxford, where she was President of the Oxford Union. Benazir Surtees (born 1 July 1972; née Hussain) is a British-Indian retired ballerina who was a soloist at the Royal Ballet, Covent Garden. Early life Surtees was born in Madras and raised in London. Career Surtees was made soloist in 1994 at the Royal Ballet, where she took over roles such as the Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. She is particularly known for her appearance in the recorded performance of Sleeping Beauty in winter 1994. Her other appearances include Frederick Ashton's Illuminations. After her final appearance as Gamzatti in La Bayadere she left the Royal Ballet and moved to Australia in 1997. Benazir Salam is an Indian classical dancer from Bangladesh. Career Benazir is the daughter of Md. Abdus Salam and Kohinoor Salam. She began her dance career at the dance school of ''Abdul Hasib Panna'' called ''Nikkon Shilpi Goshthi'' in 1983 in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. She was considered the national child of the years 1986, 1988 and 1989 through a competition organized by the Shishu Academy of Bangladesh. In those competitions she performed Kathak, Bharatanatyam, modern dance and folk dance. She was awarded gold medals in Manipuri dance, Modern Dance and Katthak Dance in Dhaka Junior Art and Music Festival 1988, sponsored by British Council and ANZ Grindlays Bank.
