Benjamin Knight
Benjamin Brayton Knight (1813–1898) was a New England industrialist and philanthropist, who was a partner with his brother Robert Knight in the B. B. & R. Knight Company and was one of the largest textile manufacturers in the world when he died in 1898. Knight co-founded the large and famous brand, Fruit of the Loom. Biography He was born in Cranston, Rhode Island, on October 3, 1813, to Stephen Knight and Weltham Brayton. Knight worked on the family farm until he was 18 and went to work at Sprague Print Works in Cranston, but eventually returned to farming. In 1835, he opened a general grocery store near the print works. In 1838, he moved to Providence, and founded Winsor, Knight & Company, a grocery business, with Onley Winsor and L. E. Bowen and eventually his brother, Jeremiah Knight, and the firm became B. B. Knight & Co. Knight later partnered with D. T. Ben Knight (born 1 December 1975) is an Australian actor. Career Knight, often credited as Ben Kermode commenced his career as an actor in 1997, when he made a guest appearance in the Australian television series '' State Coroner''. What followed was two further guest roles on the series ''Good Guys Bad Guys'' and ''Introducing Gary Petty'' before his career took a five-year hiatus. In 2005, Knight returned to acting with the short film ''Smacked Out Kisses''. In 2009, he received a short recurring role on Seven Network soap opera ''Home and Away'', for which he played Hazem Kassir, the love interest of Leah Patterson-Baker. He played the role of Hazem near the end of the 2009 season until early 2010 when his character was involved in a controversial storyline, in which he is brutally beaten by a group of racist thugs on Australia Day. Benjamin Leo Knight (born 14 June 2002) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League side Manchester City.
