Ben Gulliver
Ben Gulliver (born 16 March 1981 in Coventry) is a Rugby Union player, who currently plays for Ampthill in National League 1. His preferred position is Lock. His stature makes him a big threat at line-outs. Began his career at Coventry and following a brief spell at Saracens (where he represented England Students), Gulliver made the move to the Westcountry to join Plymouth Albion. He impressed there until a broken leg led to a lengthy spell on the sidelines. In summer 2008, Ben moved across the Tamar to local rivals Cornish Pirates. After impressing in 30 appearances in his first campaign, his second season (2009/10) was beset by injury but ultimately successful as Ben contributed to Cornish Pirates' victory in the inaugural British and Irish Cup. Louis Deacon
Louis Deacon (born 7 October 1980, in Leicester) is a former English professional rugby union footballer. He played lock. Career His playing career started as an eight-year-old, playing with Wigston, before joining Syston RFC and as a Ratcliffe College student represented the Midlands county and both the England 16 Group and U18 Group School sides. He joined the Leicester Tigers Academy in the 1997–98 season and worked his way through the Tigers Youth, U21 and Extras teams. Deacon joined Leicester Tigers in 2000. He made his first team debut in August 2000 as a replacement against Cardiff and has established himself as a highly dependable player and equally at home at the front or middle of the line out. Geoff Parling
Geoff Parling (born 28 October 1983) is an English rugby union coach and former player. His usual playing position was lock. Parling played for Newcastle Falcons, Leicester Tigers and Exeter Chiefs in Premiership Rugby, he won three English titles as a player, two with Leicester in 2010 and 2013 then again with Exeter in 2017. He played in Japan for Munakata Sanix Blues and for Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby. He won 29 caps for , appearing at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and won three caps for the British & Irish Lions on the 2013 tour to Australia. British And Irish Cup
The British and Irish Cup was an annual rugby union competition for second tier, semi-professional clubs and the reserves or developing teams from professional clubs from Great Britain and Ireland. It took place for the first time in the 2009–10 season, and ran for 9 seasons. After clubs from the English Championship decided to withdraw from the 2018-19 season, the competition was abolished. The Welsh and Irish rugby unions thereafter reinstituted the Celtic Cup competition for its development sides. Leinster A and Munster A were the most successful sides in the competition, winning the trophy twice each. Five English clubs shared the remaining competition wins.
