Ben Griffin (British Army Soldier)
Benjamin Griffin (born 1977) is a British peace activist, and former British Army infantry soldier. Early life Griffin was born in 1977 in London, England, to a family with military connections. He spent his childhood years in South London, his family relocating to Machynlleth in Wales when he was nine, and he received his formal education there and later in Swansea. During his teenage years he received early military training with the Army Cadet Force. Military career In 1997 at the age of nineteen he enlisted with the British Army's Parachute Regiment, going on to serve with its 2nd Battalion in garrison duty in Northern Ireland in the winding down of Operation Banner in the late 1990s-early 2000s, and in the Balkans where the battalion assisted with the disarming of the Macedonia National Liberation Army in the Western Macedonia mountains in 2001. Ben Griffin (born 7 March 1986 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian footballer who plays as a central defender. He went to school at Marist College Ashgrove in Brisbane. A talented junior he represented Australia at the under 17, under 21 and under 23 levels. From 2006 to 2009 Ben played for the Queensland Roar (now known as Brisbane Roar) in the A-League. Benjamin Griffin (1680–1740), was an English actor and dramatist. He was the son of the Rev. Benjamin Griffin, rector of Buxton and Oxnead in Norfolk, and chaplain to the Earl of Yarmouth. Early life Griffin was born in Yarmouth in 1680, and educated at the free school, North Walsham. He was apprenticed to a glazier at Norwich, where in 1712 he joined a strolling company. In 1714-15 he was one of the company with which Christopher Rich opened the rebuilt theatre in Lincoln's Inn Fields. Benjamin Griffin (born 22 September 1986), also known as Ben Griffin, is an alpine skier from New Zealand. He competed for New Zealand at the 2010 Winter Olympics New Zealand participated at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. 16 athletes were named by 28 January 2010.
