Ben Grieve
Ben Grieve (born May 4, 1976) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He batted left and threw right. In his nine-season career, he played with the Oakland Athletics (–), Tampa Bay Devil Rays (–), Milwaukee Brewers (), and Chicago Cubs (2004–). Grieve was a prospect who won the American League Rookie of the Year award while playing for the Oakland Athletics. His father, Tom, was also a Major League Baseball player. High school Grieve attended Martin High School in Arlington, Texas, where he was teammates with Matt Blank and won a Texas baseball championship in 1993. As a senior in 1994, he hit .486. He benefited from receiving hitting instruction from Tom's former teammate and then- Texas Rangers hitting coach, Tom Robson. He also played basketball at Martin. A right fielder, abbreviated RF, is the outfielder in baseball or softball who plays defense in right field. Right field is the area of the outfield to the right of a person standing at home plate and facing towards the pitcher's mound. Paul Wilson (baseball)
Paul Anthony Wilson (born March 28, 1973) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. A right-hander, he played all or parts of seven seasons in Major League Baseball. Baseball career Amateur career Wilson played college baseball for the Florida State University Seminoles under head coach Mike Martin. Professional career Wilson was selected with the first overall pick in the 1994 MLB Draft by the New York Mets. In his minor league career, he was billed alongside Jason Isringhausen and Bill Pulsipher as a future Mets star. The three were dubbed by sportswriters and fans as " Generation K". In 1995, Wilson went a combined 11-6 with a 2.41 ERA while playing for the AA Binghamton Mets and AAA Norfolk Tides. The TCU Horned Frogs baseball team represents Texas Christian University in NCAA Division I baseball. College baseball is baseball that is played on the intercollegiate level at institutions of higher education. In comparison to football and basketball, college competition in the United States plays a smaller role in developing professional players, as baseball's professional minor leagues are more extensive, with a greater history of supplying players to MLB. Moving directly from high school to the professional level is more common in baseball than in football or basketball. However, if players do opt to enroll at a four-year college to play baseball, they must complete three years to regain professional eligibility, unless they reach age 21 before starting their third year of college. Players who enroll at junior colleges (i.e., two-year institutions) regain eligibility after one year at that level. Tom Robson (baseball)
Thomas James Robson (January 15, 1946 – April 20, 2021) was an American Major League Baseball player, coach and author. He played first baseman and designated hitter for two seasons for the Texas Rangers. He is author of ''The Hitting Edge''. Personal life Robson was born January 15, 1946, in Rochester, New York. He attended Camelback High School in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Phoenix College, a community college, and later Utah State University in Logan.
