Ben Bucovaz
Ben Bucovaz (born 2 November 1990) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was selected with the 56th selection in the 2008 AFL National Draft. Bucovaz was a member of Victoria Country's National Under 18s Championships side and played for the Geelong Amateur Football Club in the Bellarine Football League and the Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup. Since moving to Western Australia he has mainly played for East Fremantle in the WAFL. At the end of the 2010 season he was delisted, but then re-drafted by Fremantle in the 2011 Rookie Draft. He was upgraded to the senior list when Viv Michie was placed on the long-term injury list in June 2011. Geelong Falcons
The Geelong Falcons is a youth Australian rules football representative club in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition, Victoria, Australia. The club takes in talented junior players from the Geelong, Colac and Warrnambool regions in order to prepare them for AFL selection. There is an under-15 V-Line cup side and an under-16 side, but the club's main focus is its under-18 side, who play a longer season. In 2007, Jimmy Bartel became the first ex-Falcon to win the AFL Brownlow Medal, for the league's best and fairest player, while Jonathan Brown became the first ex-Falcon to win the Coleman Medal for the most goals in the season. 2011 AFL Season
The 2011 AFL season was the 115th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured seventeen clubs, with the newly established Gold Coast Suns, based in Gold Coast, Queensland, playing its inaugural season. The season ran from 24 March until 1 October, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Vivian "Viv" Michie (born 23 February 1992) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club and Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Michie played junior football for the Fitzroy Juniors and Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup. He showed his agility at the AFL pre-draft testing, finishing third in the agility run. He represented Victoria Metro at the 2010 AFL Under 18 Championships. He was drafted by Fremantle with their 2nd selection, 44th overall, in the 2010 AFL Draft. The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019. The competition is sponsored by National Australia Bank (NAB), having previously been sponsored by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) since its inception.
