Below Par Records is an Australian independent record label established in 2000 by three sixteen-year-old Sydney high-school students, Jai Al-Attas, Mark Catanzariti and Steven Chalker. In 2001, Matt Hawkes replaced Steven Chalker as the third partner. Below Par Records won the Nescafe Big Break competition in 2002 and, in 2003, Below Par Records went into a label development deal with owned by John Watson and Melissa Chenery. Vaux (band)
Vaux was an American six-piece alternative rock band from Denver, Colorado, United States. History Vaux was formed in 1997 in Denver, Colorado, under the original name Eiffel. They released a 7" single themselves, ''To Write A Symphony'', in 1998. Indie label Undecided Records signed the band after they had toured the East Coast extensively for two years, and the band's debut album ''Audiblenarcotic'' was released in 2000. The album was a minor success on college radio, and the band earned a spot on the 2001 Warped Tour. In July 2002, for legal reasons, the band had to change its name, deciding on Vaux. In 2002, Vaux moved to Orange County independent label Volcom Entertainment and released the EP ''On Life; Living'', and the following year, second full-length ''There Must Be Some Way to Stop Them''. Andrew Robert Nielsen (born October 6, 1982), known professionally as MC Lars, is an American record producer, rapper, cartoonist, podcaster and educator. Lars is one of the self-proclaimed originators of "lit-hop", and is the founder and CEO of the independent record label Horris Records. Lars has been cited as the creator of the term " iGeneration", which he was credited with doing in 2003. Education Lars attended Stevenson School, a high school in Pebble Beach, California. For college and graduate school, he attended Stanford University and Oxford University. Career He has recorded for Truck Records in the UK, Sidecho Records in the United States, Big Mouth Records in Japan, and Shock Records in Australia. The Living End are an Australian punk rockabilly band from Melbourne, formed in 1994. Since 2002, the line-up consists of Chris Cheney (vocals, guitar), Scott Owen (double bass, vocals), and Andy Strachan (drums). Jim Ward (musician)
James David Ward (born September 19, 1976) is an American musician. A self-taught guitarist and pianist, he is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the band Sparta; he is also a co-founder of the post-hardcore band At the Drive-In, which he formed in 1993 when he was 17 years old. At the Drive-In While in At the Drive-In, Ward played guitar and sang backup vocals, as well as playing piano and keyboards on select songs. He performed lead vocals on two tracks, entitled ''"Hourglass"'' and ''"Ursa Minor"'', as well as singing co-lead with lead vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala on a number of tracks.
