Angelina Beloff
Angelina Beloff (born Angelina Petrovna Belova; russian: Ангелина Петровна Белова; June 23, 1879 – December 30, 1969) was a Russian-born artist who did most of her work in Mexico. However, she is better known as Diego Rivera’s first wife, and her work has been overshadowed by his and that of his later wives.In Rivera's autobiography, her name is spelled "Angeline Belloff." Evan Beloff is a Canadian film writer, producer, director and production company executive. He is known for Bigfoot's Reflection (2007), Daughters of the Voice (2018) and A People's Soundtrack (2019). 1990s A Montreal native, Evan holds a double major in creative writing and theatre. Elena Mosaner, formerly known as Beloff, is a Russian-born American National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) Certified hypnotherapist and professional certified coach by ICF (International Coach Federation), author and filmmaker. She has her own private practice in New York City and the San Diego Area. Mosaner founded the practice Inside Hypnosis in New York City, and is the founder of the AlphaMind self hypnosis app. Hypnosis Mosaner hypnotized 100 people at one time for the film "The Crowd," which was shot in January 2015 by Darius Khondji. Elena Mosaner was cast at the suggestion of Advanced Hypnosis Center's Jeffrey Rose. Jim Beloff
Jim Beloff (born December 25, 1955) is an American musician. He is a leading proponent of the ukulele. After working in the music industry in Los Angeles, he discovered the ukulele and became an advocate of the instrument. He established Flea Market Music, publisher of the Jumpin' Jim's ukulele songbook series. Beloff's songbooks and instructional books (arranged by him and other well-known ukulele players), DVDs and promotion and marketing of his family's Fluke and Flea ukuleles have contributed to the popularity of the instrument. John Beloff (19 April 1920 – 1 June 2006) was an English psychology professor at Edinburgh University and parapsychologist. Biography Beloff was born and brought up in London, and was from a Russian Jewish family. His parents were Semion (Simon) Beloff (born Semion Rubinowicz) and Maria (Marie) Katzin. His paternal great-grandmother was Leah Horowitz-Winograd, the sister of Eliyahu Shlomo Horowitz-Winograd and a descendant of the Hasidic master Shmelke Horowitz of Nikolsburg (1726–1778). He was the brother of the historian Max Beloff, the politician and educationalist Renee Soskin, the biochemist Anne Beloff-Chain, and the journalist Nora Beloff. Leland M. Beloff (born April 17, 1942) is a former American politician and convicted criminal. Mob boss Nicky Scarfo, who himself had been an amateur boxer followed the careers of young fighters from South Philadelphia, including Beloff. He was a Jewish Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Philadelphia City Council, who resigned from office after being convicted in Federal court on extortion charges. His district was Olde City, Philadelphia. The City Council would not approve any property development without consent of the district councilman. Max Beloff, Baron Beloff, (2 July 1913 – 22 March 1999) was a British historian and Conservative peer. From 1974 to 1979 he was principal of the University College of Buckingham, now the University of Buckingham. Michael Beloff
Michael Jacob Beloff, KC (born 18 April 1942) is an English barrister and arbitrator. A member of Blackstone Chambers, he practises in a number of areas including human rights, administrative law and sports law. Career Beloff is the son of the historian Max Beloff, Baron Beloff, and is therefore by courtesy styled 'the Honourable'. His mother was Helen Dobrin. He was educated at the Dragon School and Eton, and read history at Magdalen College, Oxford, and was President of the Union. As President of the Union he passed a resolution in 1963 to allow women to have full membership for the first time. Zoe Beloff (born 1958) is an artist residing in New York who works primarily in installation, film, and drawing. Biography Zoe Beloff was raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1980 she moved to New York, and a few years later she received an MFA in Film from Columbia University. An early work, from 1986, was an apparently unauthorized film adaptation of J. G. Ballard's novel ''Crash'', a short entitled ''Nightmare Angel'' that she filmed in collaboration with Susan Emerling.
