:Bellota'' is also a synonym (botany), synonym of the plant genus ''Beilschmiedia''.'' ''Bellota'' is a genus of Salticidae, jumping spiders that was first described by George and Elizabeth Peckham, George Peckham & George and Elizabeth Peckham, Elizabeth Peckham in 1892. It is similar in appearance to the genus ''Chirothecia'', but has a narrower Glossary of spider terms#cephalothorax, cephalothorax and a shorter eye area.
