Belleville High School (Belleville, Kansas)
Belleville High School, later Republic County Middle School, is a school building constructed in 1931 in Belleville, Kansas. Architect S. S. Voigt designed the school in the Collegiate Gothic style. The red brick building features a limestone foundation and detail work, multiple gable roofs and gabled dormers, and windows with quoined surrounds. The building served as Belleville's high school until 1962, then as the city's junior high school and middle school. At the end of the 2012–2013 school year, the school was closed and the property sold to a private developer, who declared his intention to convert it to an apartment complex dubbed Buffalo Apartments.Hadachek, Deb. Belleville High School is a Public school (government funded), public high school located in Belleville, Michigan and the only zoned high school in the Van Buren School District (Michigan), Van Buren School District. History In 1953, a fire destroyed the third floor of Belleville High School. The blaze began in a basement store room and swept to the second and third floors via a nearby ventilating shaft. No one was injured, but the second and third floors were damaged beyond use for the rest of the school year. The third floor had remained closed, and before the demolition of the building classes continued on the first and second stories. During the Winter of 2010, the Van Buren Public Schools Board of Education approved the accelerated schedule that the architect of Fanning Howey and Granger Construction presented. Belleville High School-East
Belleville High School East is a public high school in Belleville, Illinois, United States. It is part of Belleville Township High School District. It was established in 1966. History Prior to 1966, Belleville Township School District operated only one school, Belleville Township High School, which was the old Belleville West campus (a new campus has since been built). The growth of the district prompted the local board of education to construct a new campus and divide the student body between the two schools. The new campus was built in a college format with many different buildings. The newly commissioned Belleville Area College (now Southwestern Illinois College) occupied half of the campus while the new high school occupied the other. Enrollment in the school increased rapidly and the college was forced to move to a new location. Major renovations were completed in 2009.
