Belle Al Bar
''Belle al Bar'' is a 1994 Italian comedy film directed, written and starred by Alessandro Benvenuti. It won the 1995 Silver Ribbon for best script. Premise Leo is an obsessive art restorer in an unhappy marriage. While at work away from home, he collapses and is aided by a beautiful woman. He awakens to find the person who took care of him was his cousin Giulio, now a transgender prostitute named Giulia. As the two reconnect, Giulia confesses that she has always been in love with Leo, while Leo begins falling for Giulia. Alessandro Benvenuti
Alessandro Benvenuti (born 31 January 1950) is an Italian actor, film director and screenwriter. He was co-founder, together with Francesco Nuti and Athina Cenci, of the comedy ensemble "GianCattivi" with whom he achieved his first successes on stage and on television. He made his film debut in '' West of Paperino'', for which he won the 1982 Silver Ribbon for Best New Director, therefore he started a critically appreciated career as director, screenwriter and actor of a set of original, offbeat comedies. In 1995 he won a second Silver Ribbon for the script of the film '' Belle al Bar''. In 1996, he received three Globi d'oro nominations for his comedy drama film '' Ivo the Genius'' in the categories best film, best actor and best director. Pietro Ghislandi (born 19 April 1957 in Bergamo) is an Italian actor. History He was introduced to the public as a ventriloquist and was a finalist in the 1986/87 edition of the RaiUno program Fantastico 7 with his dummy Sergio. In 1985 he worked as a stand-in for Renato Pozzetto in the movie ''È arrivato mio fratello''. Immediately after, he had a small part in ''Grandi magazzini'' and performed in many commercials.
