Bellarmine Knights Men's Lacrosse
The Bellarmine Knights Men's Lacrosse team is a college lacrosse team that represents Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The school has been an all-sports member of the ASUN Conference since 2020, but men's lacrosse spent the 2021 season (2020–21 school year) as an associate member of the Southern Conference (SoCon), in which it had competed since the 2015 season. With the reinstatement of ASUN men's lacrosse competition for the 2022 season, Bellarmine moved that sport to its full-time conference home. Jack McGetrick helped found the Bellarmine Knights lacrosse program in 2004 in anticipation of starting competition in the spring of 2005. He was head coach of the program until he lost his long battle with cancer in October 2010. In July 2019, Bellarmine University's athletic department named Andrew Whitley the next head coach of the Knights men's lacrosse program. The revival of ASUN men's lacrosse saw the two full ASUN members wi ...

Great Western Lacrosse League
The Great Western Lacrosse League, also known as the GWLL, was an NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse athletic conference that existed from 1994 to 2009. The conference was created when the NCAA instituted automatic qualifiers to the NCAA championship tournament; in so doing, it eliminated the "western region" bid. The GWLL ceased operations in 2010, as a result of Notre Dame's 2008 decision to leave the conference for the newly established Big East lacrosse conference in 2010; the remaining GWLL schools, including the Air Force Academy, University of Denver, The Ohio State University, Quinnipiac University, and Bellarmine University, joined the ECAC, as a five-team GWLL would no longer have been eligible to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA championship tournament under the rule requiring conferences to have at least six members to qualify for the bid. History The GWLL was established in 1994. The original members were Air Force, Butler, Denver, Michigan State, Notre ...

NCAA Division I Independent Schools
NCAA Division I independent schools are four-year institutions that compete in college athletics at the NCAA Division I level, but do not belong to an established athletic conference for a particular sport. These schools may however still compete as members of an athletic conference in other sports. A school may also be fully independent, and not belong to any athletic conference for any sport at all. The reason for independent status varies among institutions, but it is frequently because the school's primary athletic conference does not sponsor a particular sport. Full independents Two schools are competing as full independents for the 2022–23 season. Chicago State left the WAC at the conclusion of the 2021–22 school year without announcing a new conference affiliation for the next season, and has yet to announce plans to join any conferences for any subsequent seasons. Hartford started a transition from Division I to Division III in 2021–22, and left the America East Confe ...

Air Force Vs
The atmosphere of Earth is the layer of gases, known collectively as air, retained by Earth's gravity that surrounds the planet and forms its planetary atmosphere. The atmosphere of Earth protects life on Earth by creating pressure allowing for liquid water to exist on the Earth's surface, absorbing ultraviolet solar radiation, warming the surface through heat retention (greenhouse effect), and reducing temperature extremes between day and night (the diurnal temperature variation). By mole fraction (i.e., by number of molecules), dry air contains 78.08% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. Air also contains a variable amount of water vapor, on average around 1% at sea level, and 0.4% over the entire atmosphere. Air composition, temperature, and atmospheric pressure vary with altitude. Within the atmosphere, air suitable for use in photosynthesis by terrestrial plants and breathing of terrestrial animals is found only in Ea ...

Robert Morris Colonials Men's Lacrosse
The Robert Morris Colonials men's lacrosse team represents Robert Morris University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. The Colonials became a varsity program in 2005. History Robert Morris currently competes in the ASUN Conference and plays its home games at Joe Walton Stadium in the Pittsburgh suburb of Moon Township, Pennsylvania. RMU had been a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC) through the 2020 season, but left that league to join the Horizon League, which does not sponsor men's lacrosse. The Colonials then became an independent for the immediate future. Ultimately, their stint as an independent would only last one season; on February 5, 2021, RMU was unveiled as a member of the newly reinstated ASUN men's lacrosse league, which started play in the 2022 season. In 2018, Robert Morris was the number one seed in the NEC year-end tournament, reaching the finals where they defeated Saint Joseph’s 9-8 to reach their first NCAA tou ...
