Beli Ap Rhun
Beli ap Rhun (c. 517 – c. 599) was King of Gwynedd (reigned c. 586 – c. 599). Nothing is known of the person, and his name is known only from Welsh genealogies, which confirm that he had at least two sons. He succeeded his father Rhun ap Maelgwn as king, and was in turn succeeded by his son Iago. Beli was either the father or grandfather of Saint Edeyrn. The royal genealogies of the Harleian genealogies, Jesus College MS. 20, and ''Hengwrt MS. 202'' show him as the ancestor and descendant of kings, and thus presumably a king himself. The ''Bonedd y Saint'' ( en, Descent of the Saints) says that he is the ancestor of Saint Edeyrn (the ''Bonedd y Saint'' says that he was the son of Nudd or Lludd who was the son of Beli, while ''Hengwrt MS. 202'' says that he was the son of Beli). Beli (moon)
Beli (Saturn LXI), provisionally known as S/2004 S 30, is a natural satellite of Saturn. Its discovery was announced by Scott S. Sheppard, David C. Jewitt, and Jan Kleyna on October 7, 2019 from observations taken between December 12, 2004 and March 21, 2007. It was given its permanent designation in August 2021. On 24 August 2022, it was named after Beli, a jötunn from Norse mythology. He is killed by Freyr with the antler of a hart (stag). According to John Lindow, the myth of Beli is partially lost. Some scholars suggest that he may be the brother of Freyr's wife Gerðr, although this is uncertain. Beli is about 4 kilometres in diameter, and orbits Saturn at an average distance of 20.396 Gm in 1087.84 days, at 157.5° to the ecliptic, in a retrograde direction and with an eccentricity of 0.113. Beli ( mk, Бели) is a village in the municipality of Kočani, North Macedonia, near the city of Kočani. Geography and location The village is located foothills of the Osogov Mountains, around 2 kilometers northeast of Kočani. The village is reached via Regional Route 1309 which leads to Ponikva. The road that leads into Beli is also the same road that leads to Nivičani, Pantelej, and Rajčani. Beli I Of Alt Clut
Beli I was a ruler of Alt Clut, the Brittonic kingdom later known as Strathclyde, some time in the 7th century. Very little is known of him, but his family appears to have been very well connected in northern Britain. The Harleian genealogies name Beli as the son of Neithon, his predecessor as king, and the father of Eugein I, his successor. Beli map Neithon is probably identifiable as the Beli who was the father of Bridei III of the Picts, as the ''Elegy for Bruide mac Bili'' attributed to Adomnán calls Bridei ''mac rígh Ala Cluaithe'' ("son of the King of Alt Clut").MacQuarrie, p. 9.
