Belgrade Book Fair
The International Belgrade Book Fair is one of the oldest and most important literary events in the region. Its basic objective is enabling publishers, authors, booksellers, librarians, book distributors, multimedia companies and other participants to establish contacts, exchange experiences, do business deals and establish other forms of business and cultural cooperation. All publishers from Serbia and the most prominent ones from the region feature at the Fair their annual publishing production. In addition to the publishing program, an extensive side event one is organized at the Fair, as well: conferences, round table conferences, meetings with authors, public discussion panels and workshops. For the visitors, the Book Fair is an opportunity to find at one place and buy at special prices the books they are interested in, as well as to meet their favorite authors and discover the new ones, attending one of many programs. Belgrade Fair
The Belgrade Fair ( sr, Београдски сајам, Beogradski sajam) is a large complex of three large domes and a dozen of smaller halls which is the location of the major trade fairs in Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia. It is located in the municipality of Savski Venac, on the right bank of the Sava river. One of the most recognizable landmarks of Belgrade, it is colloquially referred to only as Sajam. Location Sajam is located on the Sava's right bank, in the western foothills of the Topčidersko Brdo and the neighborhood of Senjak, built on it. Sofia
Sofia ( ; bg, София, Sofiya, ) is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. It is situated in the Sofia Valley at the foot of the Vitosha mountain in the western parts of the country. Dušan Kovačević
Dušan Kovačević ( sr-Cyrl, Душан Ковачевић, ; born 12 July 1948) is a Serbian playwright, scriptwriter, film director and academic best known for his theatre plays and movie scripts. He also served as the ambassador of Serbia in Lisbon, Portugal. Biography Kovačević was born in Mrđenovac near Šabac, PR Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia, graduated from Gymnasium Svetozar Marković, Svetozar Marković Gymnasium in Novi Sad, and received a bachelor's degree in dramaturgy from the University of Belgrade in 1973. From 1973, he worked as a dramaturge at ''TV Beograd'' for five years. Since 1998, he has been the artistic director of ''Zvezdara teatar''. Goran Petrović () (born 1961 in Kraljevo, Serbia) is a Serbian writer and academic. Biography Goran Petrović studied Yugoslav and Serbian literature at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philology. He received the most prominent award in Serbian literature, the NIN Award, in 2000, for his novel ''Ситничарница „Код срећне руке"''. Currently he works and lives in Belgrade. Milovan Danojlić ( sr-cyr, Милован Данојлић; 3 July 1937 – 23 November 2022) was a Serbian poet, essayist and literary critic best known for his children's poetry. Danojlić was a full member of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts.
